MIBRO 5/8 in. High-Speed Steel (HSS) Silver & Deming Drill Bits are designed for creating large-diameter holes in materials that require more cutting capacity than standard drill bits can provide. Ideal for general-purpose drilling in wood, plastics, and most ferrous and nonferrous metals - including mild steel, cast iron, sheet metal, aluminum, copper, and brass - these bits deliver dependable performance for workshop and fabrication projects. Their reduced shank allows larger diameter bits to fit into drill chucks with a 3/8 in. (9.5 mm) capacity, making them a practical solution for drilling oversized holes. The 135° split-point tip helps reduce walking and eliminates the need for a center punch on many applications for faster, more accurate starts. Three flats on the shank provide a secure grip in the drill chuck to help reduce slipping during use. For best results, use these drill bits in a drill press at speeds up to 400 RPM. Not recommended for drilling high-grade or stainless steel.
