Majic Clear Coat High Gloss Lacquer is designed for application to Majic T&I Enamels to create a deeper gloss and to provide extra protection for the damaging affects of UV light (gloss & color retention). The caveat to applying Majic Clear Coat is the final coat of T&I Enamel must cure for 14 days prior to application – otherwise, film wrinkling or peeling may occur. Most clear coats (specifically automotive clears), are solvent acrylic coating are “hot” solvents topcoats that will adversely react with most oil/alkyd finishes…Majic Clear Coat is a blend of resins that employ a much safer solvent structure, though the 14 day “wait” period is still critical.

A: Majic Tractor, Truck & Equipment Enamels exhibit excellent adhesion and corrosion resistance, and may be applied direct to clean, profiled steel. Having said that, an even stronger adhesion, greater corrosion and chip resistance, will be realized with the application of the appropriate primer. Please be sure to read, and follow, all package directions carefully – with special attention to the recommended applied thickness and allowable re-coat time of primers and finishes.
