The Mag-Torch MT535 Utility Torch Kit includes a utility torch head and a 14.1 oz. Propane cylinder. Torch offers an adjustable webbed flame, ergonomic grip and trigger-start ignition. Pressure regulated for tilted use. Works best for basic household repairs, plumbing/soldering and lighting grills.

Q: I BOUGHT THIS MAGTORCH IN THE FALL AND IT WORKED AWESOME FOR MY BONFIRES! I JUST CHANGED MY FIRST PROPANE TANK, AND NOW IT DOESN'T LIGHT WHEN I TURN THE TANK ON AND HIT THE BUTTON. I'VE EVEN TRIED 2 OTHER BRAND NEW TANKS. DO I NEED A NEW TORCH HEAD?

    A: Hi HOOPATUB,Thank you for sharing this with us. There is no reason why the torch should not work after changing the fuel tank. I assume it was not dropped or suffered any other damage. Nevertheless, I would suggest you call our Customer Satisfaction line at (800) 969-334 and ask for Laurie who will send you a replacement MT535 torch at no cost. Faheem Schroeder

Q: I just bought this. tested it and it worked fine. First time I needed it it makes a small poof and goes right back out. I got it lit with another torch and it barely burns a tiny flame. i tried another bottle and did the same. Moments before it was fine?

    A: Hi tts1, Thank you for bringing this to our attention. Based on your explanation I am not sure whether there was a problem with the MT535 torch, or just a low level of fuel in the cylinder. Nevertheless, I would ask that you call our Customer Satisfaction line at (800) 969 -3334 and ask for Laurie Cole, and we will gladly send you a replacement MT535 torch at no cost. Q: Can this touch be used for light duty brazing ?

    A: Hi Ry100, This torch should be able to do some light brazing. However, we would suggest you consider one of our MAPP torch kits like the MT565CKC.

A torch for the job and just the right one.

This is my choice for heating fittings to loosen them. I have been working on cars since I was a teen, and have had numerous torches.

Works great when new. First time I actually needed it it wouldn’t light . Fine got it to light and the flame is short and won’t stay lite. Tried a 2 new tanks and same problem. I guess I should have bought the cheap one.
