Lifetime sheds are made from multiple panels to allow for exceptional quality control in manufacturing and easy shipping and assembly. Roof panel segments that are adjacent to each other may appear to create a small "gap." This seam in the roof panels is the point where separate panels are attached to the steel reinforcement trusses; these dual-purpose trusses provide the shed with both heavy-duty structural reinforcement and water drainage. The trusses are shaped to operate as a drainage channel and any water that enters into the roof seam is caught by the trusses and runs out to the side of the shed. Sidewall seams are also supported by overlapping panels and do not allow water in. All Lifetime sheds are designed, built, and tested to withstand rain and snow while keeping the interior dry. No additional caulking or sealing is required. ***Consult all local building codes to verify if the shed requires a building permit. Before beginning assembly, you must construct a flat/level platform

Q: does this shed come with a floor?

1 Answer
  • A: This shed does come with a slip-resistant high-density polyethylene (HDPE) floor that protects against oil, solvents, and stains. However, you must provide a platform on which to assemble your shed. Proper building permit documentation may be required in your neighborhood. Consult all local building codes prior to assembling the shed. Before beginning assembly, you must pour or construct a platform. There are two types: *Concrete *Wood Frame. Select the type, but know the surface must be level and flat before installation. If the surface is not properly leveled and flat, the shed will not assemble correctly. Proper surface leveling will save you time in the long run, so please don’t ignore this step. We recommend a Concrete platform. It will be the most durable and long-lasting choice. The platform you choose must be built above ground in order to avoid water pooling inside the shed. All lumber must be rated for outdoor use. Detailed instructions on how to construct a proper platform can be found in the product manual which can be downloaded at www.lifetime.com.

Instructions very difficult to follow, the videos are a must!

Instructions very difficult to follow, the video are a must but at a few points not clear. Took 3 of us 8 hours to assemble. Doors are out of alignment in spite on being on a VERY level concrete slab. I will be going back through steps to correct that and will reach out to Lifetime as necessary. Was happy with previous Lifetime shed at another location.

Lives up to the brand name

My father built one of these back around 2007 to store his riding lawn mower, needing somewhere to park it in our garden. It was easy enough for him to build by himself and lived up to its name as in 2026 its still holding together quite nicely. there are of course some small things that have worn out since then such as the roof panels sagging with age, and a few screw mounts have ripped out of the wall; but regardless its been such a solid shed that i felt inclined to leave this review so that others can get a sense of the actual quality long-term. Unfortunately my dad passed away not too long after building this, but I'm sure he knew it would still be standing today (he was the guy who researched everything he bought for weeks before making any purchases). anyways long story short this has been a great investment in our yards usefulness and appearance.

As expected

Super happy with this shed so far. Wisconsin winter is weeks away, so we'll see how it holds up. I plan to purchase the snow load kit for this shed as well just to be safe. I built a gravel base with 4x4 perimeter, it sits very sturdy on that. Package consists of 2 large boxes on a long pallet. Every peice was there, undamaged, instructions were fairly easy to comprehend. Would suggest getting a helping hand to make assembly go smooth. I recommend this shed.
