Q&As

1 - 3 of 3 Questions

Q: Will it go around a 90 angle

1 Answer
  • A: Yes, the LDR Industries 1/4 in. x 25 ft. Drum Auger (512 1130) is specifically designed with 1/4-inch flexible spring steel to navigate common household drain bends, including 90-degree angles found in P-traps and sink pipes. While it can turn corners, doing so often requires "finesse" or specific techniques such as rotating the handle while simultaneously pushing forward to help the tip crawl along the pipe edges.

Q: Is it safe for an rv

1 Answer
  • A: Hi there, If the RV has plastic or PVC tubular drainage (similar to what would be in a house) then any hand powered auger should be OK to use. If the RV has flexible drainage piping we would not recommend the auger to avoid damage to the drainage.

Q: Is the product made to also unclog toilets

  • A: I only used it on the kitchen sink, which worked great, but I think it would work on a toilet too. The snake part is flexible enough. Just be aware that it's metal so might scratch the toilet bowl!

Keep Looking!

This item did not work as it stated in the description. There was no way to reel the cable back in as the cable separated inside the mechanism. Don’t bother wasting your money!

No, I do not recommend this product.

Drum Auger, 25 ft.

It fell apart first time I used it. The wire coils all poured out of it and there is no way to get them back in. I suggest they make sure the inside end is attached to something inside.
