My neighbor gouged a tear in the inlet pipe of the heater core on his F150 5.0 while trying to remove the "quick release" fitting with a flat-bladed screwdriver. Needless to say, R&R on the heater core would be an expensive nightmare. I suggested trying to patch the tear/puncture with SteelStick. I roughed up the area around the puncture with some sandpaper, then smeared on the SteelStick. The outside surface of the repair had to be flush with the inlet tube to allow the heater hose to be reattached, so I smoothed it with my finger. A year and 10K miles later the patch has been leak-free.

I used to repair a small part on a vintage grinder. it broke when I wasn't even using it I came back the next morning and it just snapped in half.

Haven't use it yet but will certainly try and let you know

bought to patch freeze crack in block. worked great for that. (2 years now) used to fill wallowed-out screw hole (3/8), but crumbled when drilled/tapped. (1/4-20) properly cleaned and applied both times. patch in hole was left to cure for 4 days before i could return to drill/tap.

Steel Stick is amazing! When I started working on the porch of my fixer-upper home, I unwrapped some duct tape on the metal porch columns to discover a two inch chunk of metal missing! I had purchased some Steel Stick anticipating damage under the duct tape but not a missing chunk! Realizing that Steel Stick would need something to adhere to, I put on my MacGyver hat and started looking around the house. I found a curtain rod extension that I inserted into the two disconnected ends of the metal and positioned a couple of shims wrapped in Saran Wrap to form one corner, and then worked the Steel Stick according to the directions and used it to fill in around the curtain rod, extending it thinly around the severed metal pieces. When it cured, it was rock-solid! Of course it looked pretty clumpy but happily the Steel Stick sanded down nicely to create a smooth surface. The only thing wrong with the repair is that it is slightly crooked, but that's on me, not Steel Stick. I just didn't have the muscle to align the two ends perfectly. Overall, I am very happy with the repair. You would likely not notice anything off unless you were looking for it.

Use it on quite a number of small repairs. I just fixed a gouge in a riding lawnmower tire rim that was preventing a seal. Cleaned it, roughed with sand paper then filled the notch. Smoothed then aired the tire. Leak gone for far less than a new rim

I used this on a concrete grinding diamond double button, no real hope but worth a try, and it held up . 2 jobs later still on there and these take abuse . Very impressed.

I've been working on cars for almost 40 years and have been using this product for over 15 years because it's the best thing I've ever found to fix minor (and some not so minor holes and dents on various cars. It's easy to work with and is impossible to detect if you smooth it with water using your finger as it's setting. I've seen a few reviews from people who used it for repairs on their exhaust but I wouldn't recommend doing this because when the exhaust heats it to high temps the resulting smell is one of the worst things I've ever smelled. It's so bad and permeates the inside of your car that it's almost too bad to tolerate. I mean, so bad it'll make you gag. Other than that it's a wonderful product and I would recommend it to anyone who needs to repair a small hole in metal. I've also used it to rebuild a broken mounting hole on an alternator and it held up beautifully. Over all great product, if I could give it more stars I would.

I have used this several times to fix small holes in exhaust systems. Works great every time! Holding up better than the remaining exhaust components! Very easy to apply.

The Pedal on my mountain bike stripped out from the crank arm. Tore all the threads out of the crank. I bore the pedal out and drilled a hole through the crank arm, stuck a bolt for safety and tightened it down, but knowing itll just wobble I stuffed it with this stuff. So far impressed, you wouldnt believe how much pressure and force is put onto pedals on a mountain bike, especially if your riding hard. fingers crossed it holds up, my Trek is still in bike shop...I broke it too. Thats nothing JB weld would have been practical for. (derailer twisted into the back rim....) lol Ive used this stuff before on drive shafts and stuff on Go Carts, its amazing when you dont own a welder. Follow the instructions to the letter, stuff works great!

I used this product to repair a nail hole in the bottom of my air compressor (do not recommend trying this) and it held up considerably well. Still holding in fact. I've tried to use it in some uniquely challenging situations too without any success, but I don't think it was designed for those purposes. I was just being hopeful. It's a great product for what it's designed to do

The product works great. We have purchased it before for several metal projects we need to fix asap at work. Used the product last week and our heavy-duty metal is still in tacked.

I recently bought a package of steel still when the 2 part epoxy I usually get wasn't in stock. I am using it to epoxy bed the action of my competition rifle. This a rifle that's not just used at weekend club shoots but will be at the world championships later this year. I tried it out on a different rifle at first and was so impressed with it I have enough confidence in Steel Still that I did my main rifle. I. Super picky over my equipment and if I didn't think it was the best I could use I wouldn't have used it. Does a great job and is much much easier to use than the 2 part stuff I've been using for 30+ years

JB weld products are failing me lately. The latest is SteelStik. I followed directions to the letter twice and water leakage resulted both times.

Used steel stik on a part to the radiator that’s on a 98 Mazda Se B4000 and I hope it works…

I have to replace tge patch we go on my pool filter tank every year, but it holds for the season. I have a small hole in the tank and it keeps it to a dribble. She.

A friend hit a rock, breaking the cast iron exhaust manifold off of his Ford van. Literally separated. After clamping back into place with hose clamps, we formed a "patty" of JB SteelStik to seal the manifold...then protected it with a "beer can sleeve" clamped over it...absolutely no exhaust leak. The owner drove it over 5 years before replacing the manifold as he was trading the vehicle in for a new one. The repair was successful and still holding after nearly 6 years. AMAZING! The uses for this product are nearly infinate!

I'm old-fashioned (and old!) and prefer to fix something rather than replace it. I have a 1976 avocado green Frigidaire washer and dryer that I inherited in 2013 from my grandma after she passed. It has been sitting, unused in her basement for nearly 20yrs and the washer had a few holes in the barrel from standing water that rusted through. I used some steel stick believe it or not and patched them nicely. That was in 2013 and I literally and honestly still use the machine and I haven't had a single drop of water leak through.

Used this product to successfully plug a hit water tank on an RV. I'm amazed that it worked, and there's no dripping or anything!

I am trying to fix my body mount with this stuff I will see what happens I just finished it should be cured by now it's been about an hour yeah I'm sending everything down and everything nice and clean and kind of smashed it together put the rubber mounts back in and bolted it down and see if it holds wish me luck

I was replacing the serpentine belt on my 98 Dodge ram 1500 when the bolt on the tension pulley broke. I didn't have the money to replace the pulley right then. I was almost an hour away from home. So after 12 1/2 hours of trying to get it fixed with no more money to spend I decided to use the steel stick to repair the pulley, I had drilled out most of the broken bolt so I packed the JB weld in the hole in place of the bolt. I waited about 3 hours, that was how long it took to get everything back together and cleaned up. I drove my truck home with no problem and even around where I live the next day.

I bought this in hopes it would help fix a rust issue in my bathtub and it did the job. I have an old bathtub and there was some surface rust around the overflow drain plate. I was able to mold it around where I needed it, let it cure, sanded and then painted it. Came out pretty good. I was impressed.
