Q: Can Iuse on 3 Phase IR7100 compressor? Currently has 135-175 psi need to drop pressure to 100-135psi.

1 Answer
  • A: a pressure switch is really only a device that cuts the compressor on and off at a certain pressure range. It is not used to "dial down pressure" you would use a regulator for that. The part number regulator you would use for the 7100 unit is R37451-600. This used to be stocked in the TSC stores but I'm not sure of the TSC sku#. You can contact our ARO customer service team at arocustomerservice@irco.com and they can provide you with a quote and most likely can ship to your home or the TSC store. Thank you,

Q: What is the voltage and amperage rating for the contacts?

1 Answer
  • A: They process the 208-230 voltage power depending on the unit. We don't rate amps on the pressure switch but the units that use this switch are typically 21.5-28 Amps. If you have any further questions please contact our Air Tech team at 800-247-7378 for assistance thank you,

Factory OEM switch in stock !

Got up early to do some work in the garage and my air compressor pressure switch decided it was done working. Looked online for the correct switch I needed ( look at the sticker on the side of your compressor for the model number). After finding out which switch I needed I was pleasantly surprised to see my local TSC had a factory pressure switch in stock AND at a price that was lower than most online vendors. Inventory showed stock as one , went to the store and found it on the shelf. Removing the old switch and installing the replacement was easy. Phillips head screwdriver , an open end wrench , crescent wrench and some Teflon tape for the new pressure switch threads. About a 30 minute job. Fired it up and works perfectly and checked tank pressure after a few hours and holding , no leaks. There are aftermarket switches for sale but I prefer OEM and supporting local vendors. Thanks TSC for stocking a key part and pricing it well.
