Q: What if the minimum psi is not available does it close ore stay open

1 Answer
  • A: Per the manufacturer: The valve has to have more than a trickle of water coming to it in order to get it to shut off. If you have less than 10 PSI of water pressure, your valve may not be getting enough flow to it to make the valve seal.

    Bad valve and bad company

This 1 inch Hudson valve never worked. After it overflowed the first time I watched it not work three more times. Then, unbelievably, I looked in and the whole bottom was missing. It had unscrewed itself. This is not the first time this has happened to tractor supply Customers according to the customer care team. All I could get out of Hudson was a replacement of the bottom and the person I was talking to mentioned quite a few times that they would include a screw, evidently to keep it from falling off. To me, this registers the fact that they knew about this problem and let it be sold anyway. Cost me no end of trouble and money because tractor supply would not take it back and I couldn’t get anything at all out of Hudson. When you start reading the reviews, you won’t make the mistake I did. The bottom line is just stay away from Hudson valves. They take a lot of maintenance if they ever work and give you no satisfaction when you’ve had a complete failure. Bad valve bad company!.
