21 weeks now and thriving

Love these birds. Bought all female and they are all female. All ten survived to 18 weeks, but we lost our sweetest girl to a fox. Of the 9 remaining at 21 weeks we got one girl laying blue eggs. They are flighty and nervous girls, but very active and gentle. They are small compared to our speckled Sussex, orpington, and wyandotte who are bigger at 15 weeks. I would buy again. They are a rainbow of colors, but 100% blue girls are breath taking with their high, tall, leghorn tails.

Good birds, but NOT blue eggs

The birds have been healthy. Unfortunately, as they grew up, I found that they mine did NOT lay blue eggs. They lay a light pinkish blush egg. I bought them specifically for the blue color and was disappointed. When I contacted Hoover’s, they apologized but did not offer to replace any birds.

Shipping was fast and chicks were healthy. Unfortunately I paid extra to have sexed females (pullets) and received 3 males (cockerels). Now I have too many roosters for my amount of hens.

All 10 pullets arrived alive and well in Florida. It's been 3 weeks and they are all still alive and going strong. All lively, chirping under their heat lamp, and growing nicely. From here, looking forward to them all growing bigger and making the big move outside. All 10 are chirping, eating, drinking, and doing well.
