Great, CHEAP helmet. Doesn't stay flipped up well.

Rather than tighten the side nuts so tight that the plastic bolts strip or break, I took a soldering pencil and melted shallow grooves in the mating surfaces at the rotation point (headband and angle adjuster). I also grooved the area under the outer adjustment nut to help keep it from working loose.

You Get What You Pay For

I purchased this helmet w/ the JobSmart Mig/Fluxcore Welder. I was hoping the Hobart helmet was as good of a deal as the the welder itself but sadly, it was far from it. The helmet lasted for about 15 minutes before the threads stripped on every fastener. As you can see in the picture I had to replace the fasteners with bolts. If the helmet was of any quality they wouldn't sell replacement bands. I am literally on my way to purchase an auto-darkening helmet, I just thought I'd share my experience before doing so. -Nas B. Junk visor/Junk store

This has got to be the biggest piece of junk I’ve ever seen. It came with a stripped tension bolt for the visor. Tried to replace at the Glasgow Ky store. Was told it was on clearance no exchange no refund. Never had an interaction like that at TSC. Save your money go somewhere else and do business

No, I do not recommend this product.

The worst piece of welding PPE ever purchased

I've been welding for 20 years and this helmet is by far the biggest piece of trash I have ever used. I cannot wait to spike it into the garbage can where it belongs. As others have stated the head gear is absolute junk. Constantly drops and slams down into your collarbones. I bought it out of necessity to finish a job when my auto dark suddenly quit on me and can say with complete honesty that it is the single worst piece of welding PPE I have ever purchased. Hobart should be ashamed of themselves for manufacturing such a useless piece of trash and TSC should be equally ashamed for retailing such a horrendous product.

Bad hinge design

It took less than a minute out of the package to decide I was going to return this. The nuts that adjust the hinge tension are tiny and skip threads when you try to tighten them, and even when they feel tight they immediately pop loose when you swivel the mask up. Result is that the mask won't stay up unless you are holding it. Not even worth the sale price.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Cheap

I was expecting a better helmet from Hobart. The first time I wore it the plastic nut stripped and would not stay up.
