Cats can't get enough of this stuff

My two boys (tabby and tuxedo brothers) love this food. I only feed them this food. They are a little chonky but very active and their coats are super soft and shiny for short hairs.
I had a client who is a retired veterinarian who highly recommended Science Hill and I'm glad I did. My boys have eaten this stuff right as they hit adulthood and are very healthy.

I first bought Science Diet Perfect Weight Cat Food about six months ago. My kitty moved from kitten to adulthood, had been spayed, and gained weight due to still eating kitten food after being spayed. This formula worked wonders. I started my boys on this food because one of them needed to slim down. I started this food in December 2025 when Sunny was 18# (DSH - NM - 9yr) and now Sunny is down to about 13#. All 4 boys love this food though!

I started feeding Hill's Adult Perfect Weight Cat Food after I adopted an obese cat. He lost weight and once he got to an appropriate weight, I kept him on the same food to maintain it. I have been feeding my cats this food for 1 1/2 years now and was satisfied until recently when I opened the bag there were more crumbs than food. I returned the first time that it happened and they replaced it without a problem. That beg was ok but now the next bag is again excessively crumbly.I will be returning this bag tomorrow but I am not sure what to do from here. I can't transition them to a new food because this is what I have right now and it is inedible.

Great kibble but not for hyperthyroid cat?

I have been a Hills Science Diet consumer for years. Both wet as well as kibble. Recently I needed to find a kibble that all 4 of my cats could eat, as I have to free feed all of them to keep my one cat with hyperthyroidism, fed on demand. This kibble met all those requirements including maintaining the weight of the other cats, as well as most importantly this kibble does not contain soy or fish oil. Or so I thought until I read that it contains both, regardless of what the label states. I need confirmation that this is the case (or not), otherwise I’m potentially putting my cat at further risk and exacerbating her condition. Thank you.

They like it, but that’s the problem.

Both my cats (2and 3 years old, DSH) like the food and my younger cat is in great body condition. However my 3 yr old gained several pounds on this food. He’s now 17lbs but he was only about 14lbs when I started him on this food.
I feed home the amount recommended for 12lbs that the package recommends. He got fatter.

Formula has changed

My cat has been eating Science Diet Healthy Weight dry food for years. But she refuses to eat the latest bag. I understand that Hills changed the formula. My cat loved this food but now she won’t eat it .

I initially tried the multiple benefit option for my three indoor cats (now all a year old). One of them wouldn’t touch it, so I randomly grabbed perfect weight instead. They all love it and had such an easy transition from the hill’s kitten food! They all also have an ideal body composition score and I think this food contributes to that.

My cat is very food oriented and doesn't mind trying new kibbles and wet food. Due to this, we give her lean/diet focused food. She loved these kibbles and we didn't notice any great change in her behaviour or desire to eat. The packages are a little on the small side so we recommend bulk-buying as you'll run out pretty quickly.

I have always been a big fan of the Hills Science cat food. I was using the dental food previously but over the past year or so, I've noticed my indoor cat put on quite a bit of weight. At first, he wasn't very excited for the new food but within a few days, he would be purring right before I feed him. I've been giving him this food for over a month now and trying to play with him more. He has managed to lose a few hundred grams, so I am very happy. I will continue to keep him on this diet for a while.

My cat enjoys these Hills Science Diet Perfect Weight dry cat food.
I was worried at first as she is quite fussy when it comes to her food, we've tried numerous different brands with minimal success ! But these were a success ! After trying these over the last few weeks I've noticed a slight change in her eating and toileting habits. She's eating less and still feeling full, a lot less begging for food and more regular toileting which I believe is due to the better quality of food she is consuming
