I have a couple of these that are 4 years old and they still work perfect.

I have had a few of these for 2 and 3 years now and they work great. They are plastic so I set them up so there isn't strain on the connectors- just as you would with the plastic manifolds, valves, etc that you are probably also buying. I have tried others but they leak from the "mechanical" timer and waste water / don't time reliably / stop working. So far so good, years in on these!
