I am one of the biggest skeptics about stuff that says guaranteed to grow but this really worked. No green thumb and no ground preparation. I just spread it, covered it with a thin layer of Scott’s lawn soil and kept it moist and in 3 weeks I had to do my first cut. All from a completely dead lawn. Beautiful lawn from nothing almost instantly! Great color and coverage.

We recently tried this mix for the first time. Our local soil temperature has been 60-70° so I purchased 4 50 pound bags hoping the reviews I read on the TS website were real. We live in northwest Florida so I'm assuming it just might not be suitable for this area. We spent a weekend dethatching and aerating our half acre lot. After putting down a generous amount of seed using a drop spreader and running the sprinkler for 10 minutes 4 times a day for the past 14 days (very sandy soil here), there is still ZERO germination. If something magical happens soon I will update this review, but wanted to warn others who might live in this area. I've used mixes from other brands that seem to have a lot of weed seeds so I just wanted to give something else a try. At this point I'd rather have weeds. At least they're green.

I was very pleased with the seed's performance. I was concerned that I skimped too badly on prep, and that I lost a lot of my work to rain that came in before I got straw over the seed and fertilizer, but now a couple weeks later I have lots of little green sprouts. My original goal was erosion prevention, and I think it will more than suffice.

Not pleased with growth of seed. Little to no growth. I seeded little over 1 acre of new lawn “bare topsoil” with 2 bags. I aerated and seeded complete lot. Watered 2-3 times a day for the past 14 days which is very very time consuming to do. Out of 100 pounds of seed I’d say maybe 5% of seed actually germinated.

I ordered from the TSC website. They said there were 2 bags in store. I ordered 2 bags. When my order was complete, I received notice that the two bags would be sent to my store in a week. ???? I called the store and was told that when the quantity was low, they really couldn't say how many of any item was on hand. What???? I was told that my order went through and I couldn't change it. Not a happy customer!!!
