- A: Manual of sprayer part for TSC web use only 4428585 1. add recommended amount of any plant food to feeder jar (refer to plant food package instructions). 2. Choose the sprayer attachment you want. Use the Gentle Spray Nozzle for potted plants, seedlings, etc. Remove it for general lawn & garden feeding. 3. Turn sprayer switch to OFF, and attach hose. Turn facet on, turn sprayer switch to ON. Begin feeding when jar is completely filled with water (approx. 1-2 min.). Important: this and other non-clogging sprayers (those without dip tubes) send out a stronger plant food solution at the beginning that weakens as you spray. It’s important to move your sprayer back and forth over the entire area you are feeding so that approximately the same amount of plant food falls on all plants in the area. 4. Plant food is completely dispensed when water in sprayer turns clear. For faster feeding, or to clean feeder, turn sprayer upside down. Sprayer will empty in about 1-2 minutes. Q: I am having the same problem as others in this q&a. I followed the steps to a tee and my canister filled up but all that is spraying out is water. I even put food coloring in with the mixture so I knew if it was working. It is not.

Works like its supposed to

I bought it because you can attach a hose to each end and I have it feeding a soaker hose in the garden. Worked pretty good and leaked a little but I less than I expected. Then my dog ate it and I had to get another. It works good as well. It doesn't put out the fertilizer very quick the way I have it setup but that's how I wanted it.

Poor hose connection design

After having this for one year and using infrequently, the connector end which the hose is connected to the sprayer separated from the rest of the sprayer.
It is only a press fit design with plastic tabs holding the pressure end of the sprayer onto the sprayer.
The tabs wore and eventually were worn enough that the end of the sprayer would no longer stay attached to the rest of the unit...making this sprayer junk-not repairable.

It gets 4 stars because the nozzle isn't the greatest. While it has a variety of settings on the nozzle, none of them have a very effective spray and cover only a very small area. The mixing bottle is more than big enough to handle a good sized yard in a single filling IF the nozzle settings allowed it to spray a larger area. As it was it took filling the bottle two times to spray a medium sized yard (80'x60').

Not Perfect, but a Pretty-Good Miracle-Gro Replace

Bought a Miracle-Gro in-line fertilizer a few decades ago, and the plastic bottle formed little cracks this year and started squirting a little jet of water. Miracl-Gro no longer makes their in-line model. I tried plastic repair epoxy, but it still leaked a bit. Saw the Groundwork version in the store and bought one. Yes, the gasket is a bit thin. If I don't screw the bottle on tighr, it leaks. Might have to make a better gasket. I use it without the sprayer; without the sprayer, it has hose connectors on both ends. [I use Gilmour quick-connect hose ends. With two of those, it's a pretty good replacement for the Miracle-Gro. The bottle seems to be the same plastic, so, I'll buy a few spares...

Waste of $10, I was so happy to find this after years of trying to find a viable replacement for the old style miracle grow sprayer. It sprays water out of the white valve connector between the hose end attachment and the bottle. There’s a flat washer and an O ring washer on the valve. No matter how tightly I attach the hose the white valve doesn’t seal and water comes shooting out.

Container will not seal to top. The rubber seal doesn't seat properly inline with top so more solution comes out around top than is sprayed out of end. Really a piece of garbage

I had one of these last year that worked all year. I bought 3 of them about 2 months ago and every one of the plastic fertilizer bottles split open within a week or so. Complete garbage this year.
