Built For Cutting Creamed Corn?

I'm not sure if I got a lemon, or if other reviewers applied an artificially low standard because of the price. One basic standard should apply to every product regardless: The manufacturer's claims of objective fact cannot be false. This knife's packaging states "High-carbon and tempered-steel blade", but mine is either mild steel or was not heat-treated. Its "serrated" (dented and rolled) appearance resulted not from some "Forged in Fire" torture test on nails or armor, but from about 20 cuts on twigs. Lest readers claim "a 'corn' knife was never meant for that," the package is clearly labeled "Perfect for cutting corn stalks and BRUSH" [emphasis added].

Not sharp

I got this to harvest some rye grasses. Completely useless, it could not cut more than one or two stalks at once. The grasses are very thin. My 5yo was faster at harvesting with a pair of scissors. I'm bummed I wasted time driving across town to pick this up, will now have to find time to return it.

Cut pretty well, but for a blade that's supposed to be hardened, the cutting was damaged after a few minutes of cutting just weeds! Also the rubber grip slips off of the handle of the knife. Luckily no one was injured when the knife went sailing when the grip came off in my hand.

Great tool!

I bought one of these tools last fall. It has become my go to tool for fence row clearing. So I bought 2 more for future use.
