    This is a great quality hammer, the balance of it is perfect. It's not to heavy but definitely gets the job done when you need just a little extra weight. The durability seems great and the grip on the handle is solid.

    Works for splitting wood

    I got this to split oak logs with the wedge from tractor supply. It is working well. I can start the wedge in the wood with this. And I can finish with this, but often switch to the eight pound hammer. If the wedge is down in the wood but it hasn't split yet, this hammer fits right through the opening and I can pound it more. It is holding up well.
