To extend your run time, try using the blower setting on a lower speed when high speed is not a requirement, as blowers are considered a high-power draw application which means they do tend to drain the battery quite rapidly in comparison to some other tools. Alternatively additional batteries can be purchased to extend the run time. This unit is compatible with Greenworks 40V batteries; please keep in mind, the higher the ampere-hour (AH) rating is, the longer the run time will be.
