A lot of the bad reviews are just not using the trimmer correctly. I don’t usually write reviews but I want to contradict some of the bad ones. For the price, this trimmer give just as much if not MORE performance than a 2 cycle gas trimmer. Sure it’s battery powered, but unless you move at the speed of molasses or own a landscaping company using it all day long, you’re not going to run into any major issues. The bump spool works just fine, when it’s brand new, you have to bump it pretty hard, which is normal for a brand new machine. Battery powered or not. Reviews also state the spool is hard to take off to restring….well…tell me you’ve never used a bump spool without telling me. Just feed the string through the holes, make sure you have an even amount on each side, and twist the spool. You don’t have to take anything apart.
All bluntness and contradiction aside, this trimmer is amazing for the price and gives performance comparable to gas trimmers, is easy to use, with pretty good battery for residential use.

Not only it can sound like a UFO, but it will cut impressively. I bought this the same time I bought my 60V Mower. For my yard, the 2.5amp/hr battery does just the job. Which is ¼ acre. That includes edging. I'm glad I don't need to store 2 stroke mix. It is a little on the heavier side, but it's a compromise I'm willing to take over a very short one I used for years. I only have to set it to the lowest speed, the highest speed will definitelytake up battery span. It's been very dependable this mowing season and I'm looking forward to next year.

I was pleasantly surprised with the power of this cordless weed eater. The power -amazing, lightweight - most welcomed. My first battery powered tool other than cordless drills. I AM SOLD ON BATTERY POWER.

I purchased the 60 volt trimmer and I couldn’t be happier. It is very powerful and works as well or better than a gas powered one. Very easy to add more line as well.

It fits great with the adjustable shoulder strap. I was able to trim my front and back yard, including both sides of my cyclone fence and was not close to running out of battery. The line feed was effortless. I’m very pleased with this product.

I like the Greenworks 60v trimmers. I have bought a few over the years. The trimmers perform well. The 4 star rating would be a 5 if the bump feed was tougher and lasted longer.

No too heavy. Battery lasts a good long time, A great feature for replacing the line. Too early to rate its reliability since I have not owned this long enough. Otherwise a very good string trimmer.
