Moved in new home with an awful front and rear lawn late spring of last year and pushed off on attacking the lawn until this spring. I've used 4 20lb bags of GreenView Pure Grass Seed Turf Type Tall Fescue Sun & Shade Blend on the front and rear and will probably need two or three more to complete the spring planting. Considering the previous home owner trained dogs in the back yard and the prep work I did the results so far are amazing.

No Coatings, pure 100% seed

I've been buying & applying grass seed for over 35 years. Greenview is pure 100% seed with no "coatings". You can feel, see and even smell the top quality. I've come to the conclusion that all the other grass seeds with "coatings" are just a way to charge more for 50% less seed. If I have an active fertilizer already down, why do I need a fertilizer coating on the seed? Or other coatings? Greenview is 100% SEED versus many competitor's' 50% seed. Read the labels, 100% beats 50% every day in my book.

Green Yard Repair

My front yard had a construction project of digging and replacing the water drain line running from the gutters to the street. Tree roots had blocked the original drains. After the completion of the project the yard had a bare humped-up line down the yard that looked like a large mole tunnel. I raked up the bare soil and added the Greenview Fescue Sun and Shade Blends to raked areas. Everything turned out well and the new area looks great. Using GreenView for the fertilizer and seeds has made my yard looking fantastic. Great products!

Don’t waste your time and money with any other product out on the market ! I purchased the Greenview fairway formula grass seed turf type tall fescue sun and shade blend for my fairly new lawn that was seeded by the contractor back in February 2023. Let’s just say the summer took its toll on that grass seed.
I aerated my lawn the first of October with Greenview seed and starter fertilizer and I couldn’t be happier! A great product!

I'm hoping my lawn is nice and green this season! I've never used seed like this before. You are getting true seed. Doesn't appear to be coated with any chemicals. The seeds are larger that any seeds that I've purchased by other popular brands. It's still early to tell how well this seed will take, but i'm looking forward to the results

If you already have a Tall Fescue lawn or you're starting from scratch and planting new, this will work well. If you already have a lawn that's established with something other than Tall Fescue, then it will stand out since the leaf blades are more coarse. TF is great for high traffic areas and areas that may not get a lot of rain as it is more drought tolerant, so it'll stay green longer when other grasses go dormant from heat/drought stress, at least that is the case in the northeast

So it took awhile for me to be able to review this grass seed. It wasn't the fastest sprouting so I began to think it wasn't going to happen until one morning I look and BAM! I have a lawn! So I did first till and take the entire backyard. Then I laid this grass seed down and watered it everyday. As you can see from the pictures I need to go back and reseed some places where I think the sprinklers didn't do as well but overall I am very happy with the grass. My kids can run around barefoot because the grass is soft. It's a nice green that will photograph well after I get it filled in. So be patient a beautiful lawn will emerge!

I got this a month or so ago, and I spread out the seed in my backyard specifically right under a big tree we have. It's been about 3 weeks since putting down seed and seeds are still out there visible and there doesn't seem to have been any progress. We will be patient longer in hopes that it just takes some time.

I used this on a half shaded/half sunny spot. I used new soil and fertilizer, and planted as I normally do, watering each day per the directions. The grass has come in, but is pretty thin in spots. It is growing much slower than per usual, so hoping it comes in stronger as time goes on.

This takes a little longer than some to germinate, but it's beautiful grass. I really needed to cover an area that I had to back fill on the side of my house that is in the sun half the day and shade the rest. Eleven days ago I reseeded some bare spots in our yard and they are beginning to show some new growth. We have experienced both some warm days along with snow flurries which most like slowed germination, by a couple days. This is a great blend with quick and thick results! I used in a shade and sun spot with mature overhead trees. I had trouble in the past just getting grass to sprout, but this has come up quick a so far has stayed thick and lush

Used for seeding existing lawn: I have very dry sandy full sun soil and the GreenView Fairway Formula Turf Type Tall Fescue Sun & Shade Blend worked perfectly. The 3 lb. bag covers: 375 sq. ft. for new lawns, 750 sq. ft. for overseeding. Germination took about 7 days and gave me a beautiful nice dark lush lawn. Fescue for sun or shade!

When planting yards, you used to have to pick different types of seeds depending on how much sun or shade you have. it actually started to grow in 6 days faster than the label which was great. it covered the grass well and hopefully it will work as well as it says. no more fillers and seems to have a nice blend to hold the seeds down to allow for the sun and shady areas for growth. i also like that it has biodegradable mulch with fertilizer which will also help grow.
