  • Product Specialist
A: When spraying near mature weeds with LV 400, avoid getting any drift or overspray on the leaves, the trunk, or any exposed roots as some injury could occur. It is best to stay outside the dripline where possible. Spot spray only if you need to spray within the dripline.

Q: Is this just as effective as amine 2-4-D weed killer? What are thee main differences between the two? Pet safe? How long after useing one or the other?

1 Answer
  • Product Specialist
A: Both products have the active ingredient 2,4-D. Amine 400 is the salt version of the formulation, which is more effective in warmer temperatures (60-90 degrees), while LV 400 features the ester version of the formulation, which has better cool-season performance (55-85 degrees). Both products are pet safe after the spray has dried.
