I received this in the mail yesterday, I must have gotten a defective one, neither sock gets anywhere near warm. Can barely tell they are on after a full charge. Very disappointed as they were a gift for somebody going on a cold vacation in two days and a return won't be on time.

Wife tried them outside and sad to say, she never felt the level three heating benefit. I triple checked the charge, the setting, the remote and when on to make sure the level three lights were on. Then when home we repeated the testing -- I felt the warm toe section but when she put them on she said: "nope, I don't feel it. We liked everything about the design (above boot), the color, and the charging system. I found it tricky to get the remote to faithfully respond as per instructions, but it did work as stated. We bought an additional set of batteries that were also charged and tried. They just were not registering heat with my wife's feet. She relies on regular ski socks and the shake to heat toe warmers. Sadly we are returning the socks and extra set of batteries. Now the VEST is great! and the GLOVES! They are keepers.

So I wanted to love these but my Raynauds affects my toes and these only heat the ball of my foot. I found that my toes were still in trouble from the cold. Also, the seam ran right behind the tip of my toe, making it more painful. On a positive note, they were soft and heated nicely- just not where I needed.

Kept my feet warm for several hours of skiing. Fit well under ski boots.
