- A: This coupler will fit on 1/2" and 3/4" shafts. We would need to know the maximum torque for your unit in order to make sure it is compatible, as an L075 L-Jaw coupler is rated for 73 foot pounds of torque.6 years agoHelpful?

For Less than 5hp motors

This is only rated for 73 INCH LBS of torque. That's about a 3.5hp motor. If you put this on a larger motor then of course it will fail quickly.
