Q: How tall is the post above the ground after it is installed 2 feet in the ground? How far apart should the posts be spaced?

1 Answer
  • A: Hi Neighbor! If installed 2 feet into the ground, this 8-foot post will stand 6 feet tall above the ground. Reviewers have successfully used this spacing to secure 6-foot fencing. For specific spacing recommendations, you can use the formula: Total Length (feet) ÷ Spacing (feet) = Number of sections + 1.

Q: To erect a t-post fence 6’ tall for a 1/2ac back yard, approximately how many t-post do i need? I plan to use 6’ roll fencing unless there is something less expensive. A high estimate is ok because the house should account for a side.

1 Answer
  • A: Hi Neighbor! Without knowing the desired spacing we cannot make a recommendation on how many posts are needed. Please see the below formula to determine how many posts are needed. Total Length (feet) ÷ Spacing (feet) = Number of sections + 1 = the total posts needed.

Q: Can i paint them. If so how? What sirt of paint will not peel off?

1 Answer
  • A: Hello Neighbor, Yes, T-Posts can be painted. We would recommend something similar to a Rust-Oleum Farm & Implement that is designed to last in the elements and protect against rust.

The person doing pick up was EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL. I RECEIVED BENT, RUSTED AND WRONG SIZES IN T POSTS. I HAVE MESSAGED COSTUMER SERVICE WITH NO RESPONSE!! I have even provided images of these damages! Have yet to recieve a refund!!!!! Wish I could give ZERO STARS. Won't be returning. Every dollar matters in this economy, and TRACTOR SUPPLY DOES NOT CARE!

The Avengers of Yard Hardware

Each post stands a full 8 feet tall, which is frankly rude. I’m 5'10", so every time I carry one, I feel like I’m escorting a runway model to a fencing convention. They don’t bend, they don’t complain, and they absolutely judge me when I miss the post driver on the first swing. Installation? Wow, driving them into the ground feels like summoning ancient agricultural spirits. One moment you’re tapping politely, the next you’re swinging a 20‑lb driver like Thor summoning lightning. The posts don’t care. They accept the earth like they own it. Performance? Once installed, these things do not move. A cow could lean on them. A tornado could flirt with them. A raccoon could attempt parkour on them. They remain unmoved, silently whispering: “I am steel. You are soft.”

Yes, I recommend this product.
