I’m mostly posting this as an informative ‘review’ because I keep seeing questions answered so very wrong... We have used these vaccines for years in a rescue I volunteered in, and I used them for all of our cats and kittens this year. For kittens, you give them one vaccine at 8 weeks of age, then, one more at 11-12 weeks of age. After that, it is /suggested/ to annually(yearly) vaccinate your cat, but if they are indoor cats, it is definitely not mandatory(as long as any other cats you bring in get their vaccines/vet work done). For any cat over 12 weeks of age it is once a year! I am not sure where this 16 weeks answer is coming(as the vaccine states to give your kittens this shot again up to 12 weeks of age, if you administer one vaccine at 8 weeks, and it suggests to revaccinate 3-4 weeks after that, they would be 11-12 weeks old and would not need any more shots for at least the year! Unless you want to take them to a vet for a rabies shot!), and you definitely don’t need to ask your vet for this vaccine if your cat is 2 months old(that is 8-9 weeks). Wish I could answer actual questions on here because the people asking are getting wrong answers! I can assure you with the original vet visit and then a shot you would be spending over 2-3x more taking your cat to the vet. Note; giving shots is definitely not for the faint hearted! A lot of cats DO freak out! It is a needle after all! And some cats have tougher skin than others!

Although these are a cheap option for vaccines, I suggest everyone get different needles from their vet before opening or using them. These only come with one needle and when you puncture the vial the needle becomes dull leaving you with a dull needle to use on the cat/kitten which is horrid. Next time I’ll be sure to use a syringe that can twist off the needle to replace after filling the syringe. Honestly I’m not sure why they don’t sell it with one like that in the first place.
