Poor Quality

Order the Fimco 65 Gal, waited about two weeks to get the spryer and it came when I was out of town, I put it together yesterday and and got it on the tractor filled it with water and then I noticed water all over the ground. The tank has a hole and it had a steady stream of water running out, bad enough I can't even use it to spray. You would think for a thousand buck plus shipping they would have better quality control.
No, I do not recommend this product.

Only issue is the wiring harness. It's way too short. I bought a extra harness and the switch is still too far from the operator too reach.

We do offer a 5' extension wire that connects the end of the lead wire to the pump. Also, we have a lead wire with a cigarette lighter adapter. The system worked well.

Putting together the product was fairly simple. A good bit of debris was in the tank, so make sure you clean it out. The way the tank is held on to the 3 point hitch is not conducive to longevity. It's hard thick plastic holders holding a thinner tank. When full that tank is heavy and tractors do not have suspension therefore the tank takes the brunt of the load. My tank lasted for 5 one acre food plots. On the 6th plot the holder knocked a hole in the tank which wasted most of my expensive chemicals. I contacted the service department and they are sending me a new tank. The holders should be made of thick rubber which would fix the issue, kind of like motor mounts on a car engine.

Easy to use and works well. Did have problem with three of the nozzle valve filters sticking but the company sent me seven new one. I ran it without the filters and it worked fine. Waiting on the new filters.

Assembly Cautions & Calibration FIMCO 3 PT 65 Gal.

Assembly was relatively and quick. So are very satisfied with product - but couple of items to consider.
Make sure you check the tank for foreigh objects and vacum it out before using. I noticed small white shreds of plastic in the bottom of the tank. That would have caused problems with the in-tank strainer on the pickup hose.
When testing the sprayer had one nozzle screen plug up right away. Not sure what plugged it up, tried to clean it with air, but no luck. Recomend that you purchase a few spare nozzle screens, when you purchase the sprayer. Tractor Supply has them at their store. They are easy to change and inexpensive.
Marked off 500' and used that (up and back) to measure liquid use in gallons at various tractor speeds for approximately 10,000 SF of coverage. Took that data coverted it to gallons per acre and then total acres per 65 gallon tank to determine the desired amount of herbicide to mix for a full tank.
Would be helpful it gallon marks on the tank were painted to make it easy to read. Marked the raised bars denoting the gallons with a permanent black marker to fix that. Might be something that Fimco could do to improve that on the tank.
Cleaning up brush and weeds in hay fields and pastures. Again, very satisfied so far with product.

We know that sometimes there's still tank residue or even shavings in the tank from the molding process, that is why it states in the manual to ensure the inside of the tank is clear of any debris. As for the strainer, it's probably the viton ball and spring that are sticking that is keeping it from spraying. You can always call our customer service team at 800-831-0027 and they'll be happy to send you out a couple of extras as well. We hope that you'll be happy with the new sprayer and it handles all of your spraying needs.

Power Cable length matters

Overall I like the sprayer, it was easy to put everything together, except the power cable was way to short and I didn't have a choice on a longer one. This sprayer goes on a tractor with a 3 point hitch was only 96 inches long and I needed to reach the battery on the front of the trailer and needed 136 inch cable.

Craig, our lead wires are 96" in length due to the fact that it works on the majority of connections used. However, there are times where the location of the battery is different due to size of the tractor, etc. or even different placements of a battery. We do offer a 5' extension cable (#5273212) that will connect to the end of the lead wire and then run to your sprayer and connect to the 2-pin connector on the pump. Please contact our customer service team and they'll be happy to assist you with getting one.
