My old quarter horse LOVES these. He has chronic navicular, osteoarthritis, thin soles and is also prone to thrush and abscesses. He gets around better in these than wedge or rocker shoes. Sizing can be tricky. He wears a regular 2 in dry conditions the 3 weeks or so after a trim. But closer to farrier time, and all times in wetter weather when the hooves swell, he wears a regular 3.

Size down, for sure... I abided by the size chart and they were huge and left rubs on my horse's heels. However, I really recommend not buying these, as my horse, within a week, punched his toe through the bottom. He isn't an active horse by any means, so I was shocked to see the boot up on his cannon bone when I went to get him in the pasture. His entire pastern was swollen, as well as his tendon. This boot was on his back leg, and the leg in front of it was also swollen because I assume he had been trying to kick off the broken boot. The swelling and lameness took a few days to go down, and now I have a broken $70 boot. Don't waste your time and get a better boot.

This is the first boot that has not twisted on my horse's right front. He previously wore Easyboot Edge, the old boas and both Cavallo Treks and sports. These fit true to measurements from the size chart on the EasyCare website. They go on easy and have great tread. I love his boas and bought two sets but the tread is way too slick in wet footing. These will not have that issue.
