The Earthquake Versa front tine tiller is two garden tools in one! As a cultivator, The Versa can weed, mulch, and aerate soil. As a tiller, the high-performance 99cc Viper engine and design delivers the right amount of power to turn all kinds of soil. Prepare wide open spaces of land in the Spring, maintain rows in the Summer, and do major cleanup in the Fall. The side shields and outer tines can be quickly removed to turn the tiller into a narrow cultivator without the use of any tools. Choose between 3 tilling widths (11, 16 or 21 inches) for optimal performance in your garden. Set the drag stake to your desired tilling depth (up to 11") to maintain a consistent seed bed. Standard rotating tines propel The VERSA through all soil types with minimal effort. The Versa is backed by a friendly, U.S. based customer support team, and a 5-year limited warranty so you can be sure your Earthquake tiller will perform for many years to come. You can't count on the rain, but you can count on Earthquake.

Mine finally broke

First of all, this thing owes me nothing, I abused this thing until it finally gave up. I used it to brake up tree roots, bust up rocky soil, bust up more rocky soil, then go back to the roots. I tilled well over an acre with this thing. Its light enough that I was able to throw it in my truck and till my folks' raised beds. I brought it to my buddy's and pulled up all the big rocks in their garden bed. It jammed with the rocks a few times, but each time I cleared the tines, it said "thank you sir, may I have another" and started right back up. Eventually the transmission gave up (something had to) while in was beating up some pine roots. Mine is more duct tape than machine at this point, so I'm retiring it while it still has a bit of dignity. I still have my regular gardens and compost to maintain, so I'm definitely picking another one up this year. I'll be a lot nicer to this one.

Do not buy

Used it 3 times. Now it won’t start. Called 4 authorized repair centers, all out of business. Ordered a replacement air filter unit in July and still haven’t received it. Would not recommend tiller or manufacturer.

Tilled great, pull start doing broke 4th use

We bought this product 6 days ago. Today after using only 3 times the pull start spring broke so the cord will not retract. The tiller does work very well otherwise. Annoyed that we are having to order a replacement part so quickly.

No, I do not recommend this product.

No issues other than I received it rusted

The item itself works great. Does as described. Definitely better than a battery tiller. It was already put together. Disappointing that I had to pay full price for a new item when it was either previously used or a floor item. Clearly not taken care of as it was rusted.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Bad engine

Not a good purchase. Bought mine in the spring of 24, used it 3 times and has not ran since then. Cleaned the carburetor up, still wouldn't run. Put new spark plug, nothing. Bought a new carburetor, ran for about 15 seconds, died and now it won't run. Put all new fuel lines on it, nothing, cleaned the fuel tank out of course the fitting broke off, bought new fitting, put gas in, nothing. Worst $500 I've ever spent.

Damaged Merch

I had to fix it when I took it out of the box. One side was so bent in the blade would not have been able to rotate. After getting started it runs fine and tills, but is a workout to operate, I have used similarly priced tillers that were easier to operate.

Damaged Tiller

I can't rate the Earthquake Tiller because when I came to pick it up they brought it out in a plain unmarked cardboard box that was banged up. When they opened up the box there was another box inside in plastic bags. They took the box out only to find the box was destroyed and oil had leaked out. I refused to take possession of the damaged tiller and got my money refunded. How can Tractor Supply accept an item that was obviously damaged ?

Works well, minor issue with gas cap

Working good to break up the clay soil here. Gas tends to leak out around gas cap if its full and tiller is bouncing around. Assembly instructions are for multiple models, so pay attention.

Impressive tiller

Packaging was in very rough shape from shipping, but luckily there was no damage to the machine. Assembly was simple and took about 15 minutes. The tiller started right up and killed my garden with ease. I'm impressed with it so far.

Awesome- starts easily

We’ve had an Earthquake tiller several years.  We’ve only needed to use it a few times, and my husband always did the tilling.  I wanted to expand my garden, so I tried it out today.  I used True fuel, which we always use in machines like this.  I looked up the instructions, followed them exactly, and the tiller started on the first pull.  It’s powerful, so setting the drag bar to the proper depth is important.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Never buy from Tractor Supply!

I’ll never order from Tractor Supply again. The tiller arrived very delayed. First it was a carrier error, then I was informed the shipping label was unreadable. Well when the Tiller arrived, there were ten large holes in the package and no packing material. The box was loosely covered with clear and torn packing tape, and with 15 parts were missing. I had to lug the tiller to a local Tractor Supply store in a borrowed vehicle, where the Tractor Supply associates hesitated to help me take the new tiller out of my car. The return was painful as the Tractor Supply associates did not know how to accept an on-line $400 purchase return.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Would reccomend.

Strong enough to break new ground, light enough to lift into a raised garden bed. It sips gasoline, and it isn't very loud. I'm very pleased with this tiller.

Earthquaking and Groundbreaking!!

We bought this to take up some grass to put in a sidewalk and it has over performed in many ways. Starts and runs as expected. Doesn’t bog down when in tough soil and the roots of a weedy lawn. It cleans up easily and/or doesn’t get packed up with material between the tines. Overall we couldn’t be more please to have picked this machine. I highly recommend it to homeowners and light duty landscaping outfits that want to make a breakthrough in their business!! Oh and our path we cut in one day is 5’Wx100’Lx7”D!!

Yes, I recommend this product.

Affordable & Works Like A Champ

This is an affordable tiller that works like a champ. You kind of have to improvise on the assembly directions but it's pretty easy to assemble. I tilled after getting mine all assembled and then was going to till some more the next morning. I held my breath as I pulled the rope and the tiller cranked on the first pull! I was elated. I am very happy with my new tiller!

Yes, I recommend this product.

Will be returning

Probably a good tiller for grandma's flower bed but if you're looking to till any kind of garden for vegetables, you avoid this tiller. It would take off the topsoil but not much else. Had the drive belt come off a couple times. Anything brand new that you have to work on first day of use is bound to have additional problems just waiting to happen. Had high hopes for this tiller but was just left with frustrations and disappointment. Im just glad Tractor Supply has a 30 day return policy which i will be taking full advantage of.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Frustrated

15 min into using it belt came off. Came off 3x within first hour of using despite adjusting the tension. Unfortunately I've spent more time working on it than doing any actual tilling. You would think buying it brand new out of the box that something as basic as having the belt tight enough to operate it wouldn't need to be performed by the customer. Have a feeling that future problems with this tiller are awaiting me. For $450 I thought i was eliminating any issues with working on it. I guess i was wrong.

wraps weeds

In North Florida where the ground is Sandie. 10 seconds in and the tiller is so wrapped up in weeds. I have to stop and clean it out. It is not easy to operate at all! It either jumps around on the top of the ground if the level is on one, or it digs so deep on level two that it won’t move forward.

No, I do not recommend this product.
