It’s all about the prep work. If you have good dirt, this will grow quick. Great value for the money and good for covering large property. Using it on 1.2 acres. It’s not you Augusta national grass but it looks good after a season

I was sold old seed. The sell by date was 12/25. The bag looked like it was sitting outside for the entire year.

order on 4/10 got one of them on4/23 have not got the 2nd one as of 4/25 .

Germination on the package listing said 5 days. I have been waiting 14 days now and just a little grass is coming up after watering every evening and light straw on top.

Recent dry conditions in the Piedmont of North Carolina make it hard to evaluate this product. Having a country property and being on a well makes watering adequately impossible.

It’s always good to the fill in bald areas on the property.

Broken bag, seeds already germinated. I ordered online and pick up at the Brand New store in Pennsville NJ.

These seeds did not grow at all. It was a waste of money. If they are "guaranteed to grow", how do I get my money back???

Grass seed description & price paid at TSC met my criteria; however, weather patterns for my area followed previous years with rain missing my area during germination period. I have 1.5 acres, so watering isn't a practical answer. I'm hoping the coating on the seeds helps when winter ends next year. I don't know if the coating repels birds from eating, but did not notice any flocks feasting in my lawn where seed applied.

Not sure if germinating, it has been 2 weeks and no sprouting. If seasonal take off shelves so no one can make a mistake due to local weather.

I bought the UNCOATED version of this grass 2 years ago with decent results. I purchased 2 bags of this coated seed with less than Reasonable results. Maybe 50 percent germination after 5 weeks Where I core berated, dethatched, slice seeded and top dressed with compost. And the fact that coated seed in itself is a scam and provides no benefit other that instantly double the profit

Planted this seed 3 weeks ago 95% of it hasn’t germinated at all seed still just laying there under the straw I would not buy this again buy the un coated seed

Wish I read the reviews! This is absolutely the worst seed I have ever bought!!! Aerated, dethached, cut existing lawn to 2.5 inches and applied starter fertilizer along with seed. Ground temp was 69 degrees, air temp in mid 70’s in zone 7. Watered 3 times a day for a month now. Seed finally germinated at week 3. It appears it stopped growing once it hit 1 inch tall. Not sure at this rate of growth it will survive the winter. Will not spring seed, waste of money to me. I’ll probably have a 14,000 square foot mud hole in backyard next spring. Should have bought a cheap bag of contractor mix! Stay away from this seed.

My survey comments may be alittle premature… but since you asked… I am somewhat disappointed with this fescue seed as it seems only 50-60% of 50# bag has actually germinated. Possibly the seed has not had sufficient time to properly germinate as it’s only been 1-1/2 weeks since seeding over newly dethatched established Bermuda yard. Hopefully, it will continue to grow…

I had probably 500 crabgrass. A contractor dug it up, brought in new topsoil, then replanted with a quality seed. I'll never buy from TSC again.

Horrendous ! Don't waste your money ! Buy the higher end stuff. Tons of weeds and terrible color.

We once had a beautiful fescue lawn, but then we used this bag ‘o crap and our lawn is now filled with weeds we never even knew existed.

Bought this grass about a month and a half ago. Planted and cared for as instructed. I watered it every day. When the grass started growing, I was satisfied, however, about three weeks in when I first cut it, I noticed an abundance of weeds. My yard had weeds here and there, pretty much only near the edges, but after the plant of this seed, my entire front yard, where I put the seed, have these weeds.my side and back yard, where I didn't plant the seeds, don't have these particular weeds. I wanted to plant a couple rounds of seeds but am 100% going with a different brand. I don't recommend this at all and don't know how I'm going to fix it. I was better of with the thinner yard without this mess. Someone might say they have a disclaimer about containing other seeds other than fescue and I'm here to say, this isn't an acceptable amount.

Doesn't seem to want to grow grass well. I get more weeds then grass out of it. This is the second year I've used it and same result.

So far, so good. I had a good germination rate and started sprouting within 2 days of being down. I have only watered once per day if no rain. Have not fertilized yet. Used it for overseeding.

I spent close to $200; it's been close to 4 weeks since I purchased and applied this grass seed which "barely", has germinated. Such a waste of money and time. I usually have great luck when purchasing anything from TSC. Not this time, would not recommend this seed.

Poor germination. Weeds, thistle, and frustration after weeks of following directions.

Relatively quick growing tall fescue. Way too many fist size clumps of seed stuck together (due to coating) make use in a spreader very time consuming.
