Best grass seed for the money have bought it three times in 20 years

I bought this product and doesn't work

To much junk ryegrass in bag. Half fine blade ryegrass the other half is large blade ryegrass that looks like crabgrass.

This is some of the best Annual Rye seed I've used. I used it to do overseeding in the fall over Bermuda grass to be green all fall/winter. It came in great and did not allow a lot of weeds to grow either.

I change my store to the one in my town and it changes it back. I make a pickup order at my local store and the order goes to the one I DID NOT WANT TO DRIVE TO. Furthermore there is no easy way to cancel this order and pick it up where I want to pick it up. Guess where. Yup I prefer my local store.

Seed was used for a new lawn and it came in as expected and is in great condition.

Value is good in terms of the amount of seed you get. I don think it is the best seed, taking a while to get established.

Germination was high, with good density. I planted this to green up my yard in late winter and early spring in louisiana and it has worked great.

I blew all the leaves out and mowed down any weeds in a little over 1 acre of pretty dense woods before tossing these seeds out in late February. In about 2 weeks it had all sprouted and was growing amazingly well, by June and July I had full healthy grass coverage even in all the shade, no direct sun whatsoever. Fast forward to the next Spring, absolutely nothing regrew. It wasn’t until I was looking for new seed to plant again that I noticed what the problem was, it doesn’t say this anywhere on the bag, I just happened to notice the word on the shelf tag, this is an Annual grass, not a Perennial, that means it sprouts, grows and dies in a single season without ever coming back. For the life of me I’ll never understand why they would even sell a grass seed that does this, what possible use could this serve?

This stuff is amazing! We live in central Florida and our entire street is covered in oak trees. During the summer, the weeds takeover any and everything and in the winter its nothing but dirt. Our neighbors put this down last year and their yard looked like a golf course from October-mid/late summer months. This is the first of many things we’ve tried that has our yard looking amazing and everyone stopping to ask what it is lol we lightly loosened the soil January 5 and within 5 days we saw the green all over. Within 2 weeks it was completely filled in and beautiful. I will be buying this every year! We watered once a day for the first week and honestly haven’t watered more than once a week since then. I have to say this highly exceeded my expectations!

I planted this in October and watered it in well. I have used Scotts in the past and was happy with the result. It is now February and only about 50 percent of this seed came up and my yard is splotchy. I used a spreader and went over twice so its not the spreader. Skip this and buy Scotts. Not worth the money or trouble putting this out.

Grass seed has a solid germination rate and pops in about 7 days if you water it effectively. The grass comes up with a rich green color and will last well into the spring time. I overseed my lawn every year when the seed is available. Tractor Supply was easy to deal with and the staff at the store were extremely helpful in getting the 50lb bags to my vehicle. I would buy here again

Excellent product with great quality and price

The Union SC store showed 27 bags of annual rye grass in inventory. The associates couldn’t find a single bag!! Terrible!

I use this rye seed every year to over seed my zoysia. Great green color, germinates quickly,and holds up to tractor mowing. TSC has the best price as well! I know it’s from “Oregon” but you will be fine!

Tractor Supply delivered pest infested seed. Most likely Hessian Fly. No return option for money spent or recourse for damages of introducing pest species.

I have used this product before and had great success but this year I bought and put out two bags of this batch and have had about 5% germination in 3 weeks.

Best seed for the best price.

I put this out just before a good rain. After about 8-10 days, it was coming up. Now it is about 2 inches in length.

This is a quick germinating seed great for covering bare areas before the onset of winter.

I put out 250 pounds After the rain 6 days later it was showing 2weeks later I cut it, looks pretty good and Green grass for Christmas is going to be a thing.

2nd year using this grass seed for winter grass in Arizona. Seed germinates quickly under the right conditions and consistent water in early to mid-October. No better price for quality grass seed than at Tractor Supply!

Like anything else, preparation is everything. This seed germinated in a matter of days with 2x day watering for 30 min each. Starter fertilizer helps too. Great product!
