It seems to work fine. Plan on spending another $50 on connection materials - plumbing and regulator. I've only had it two weeks, so not much of reliability test. Ask me again in a year. I ordered it online an picked it up at one of my local Tractor Supply retail stores in Cedar Creek, TX. The staff was cordial and efficient.

Do not buy. Do not buy. Utter garbage After 2 years of light use in a small shop, the motor completely failed to the point of unrebuildable. I use the compressor mainly for my motorcycle air lift (Handy), blowing out carburetors, and airing tires. I do use it occasionally for air grinders, 1/2" impact, and polishing. Replacement motor is $550 + for part only. My shop is air conditioned and the compressor was shut down nightly. Replacement motor or new compressor??? Either way, work is delayed and my money has been wasted. Highly dissatisfied. Did not come close to expectations.

I replaced my Craftsman 30 Gallon 5 HP, which lived for 36 years, with this new Dewalt 60 Gallon 5 HP. Very pleased with the results. The Store manager "Teri" was very helpful and explained the details to me, she even went as far as opening up another cash register so I didn't have to wait in line, even though there was only one other person at the time cashing out, fantastic customer service.

Brought home, professionally wired, had no instructions on that part, ran for the 30 minutes with no plug to break in. Let it cool started it and the VERY FIRST TIME it built pressure the check valve popped and it won't hold pressure! Very 1st time! I can't explain how mad I am! I would give zero stars if I could!

I run a CNC Plasma table with it and it works perfectly. Old Ingersol quit, was able to order online, pick up and back running again within 2 hours.

The SCFM rating of this compressor is 14.6. In practice, it seems to deliver far less than that. I understand that the actual CFM will always be less than SCFM. However, my shop conditions are pretty similar to SCFM ideal conditions so the compressor should deliver something close but less than 14.6 CFM. It turns out this compressor won't even run a cut off tool rated at 4 CFM. I'm pretty disappointed and which I bought a different brand. Not that DeWalt doesn't make this tool - its actually made by MAT Industries. I was referred by DeWalt to call MAT Industries and so far all they have said is that nothing is wrong. I'll update this review if I successfully resolve the problem but right now I'm not optimistic.

I love the compressor . But delivered it dropped it off. The edge of the driveway in a driveway was 3 inches of snow. Is it been a lot better if you had a real forklift on the back of his truck?

Works great!!!!

Bought and returned due to failure the third time it kicked on. The motor was extremely hot and would not come back on. Let it set till it cooled and still could not get it to start up.

Bought it almost exactly a year ago. Worked great for a year then it stopped compressing air. The warranty process is a nightmare. Dewalt doesn’t handle the repair or parts. They told me to contact a repair shop and I’ve been waiting a month to get it fixed. They finally told me they were coming then they canceled because of an emergency and that was 2 weeks ago. Don’t buy this if you plan on starting a small business. If you don’t plan on using it much maybe it’s a good buy.

Puts air in the tires! Runs the air Tools! Blows hard!

After 5 years of occassional light use the motor shaft broke in half. A replacement motor was $420. A friend had the same exact problem with his 30 gallon compressor

Motor case was warped therefore the rotor could not turn to start up.

Doesn't hold up

I purchased this item. It immediately had issues/missing pieces. The people at the location I purchased it from gave me new parts at no cost. I should have just returned it. I had it 35 days and the tank cracked. Tried returning it then but it was outside the return policy (30 days)

It's up and running, haven't had a chance to really use it yet.

Great product it was ready to go after a simple electric hook up. Quieter than most economical machines.

I have had nothing but problems with the compressor….first thing was I had to buy a new pressure switch…the screw on one of the terminals was tortured so tight from the factory that the head stripped off the screw while attempting to loosen it to wire the brand new compressor up…then after using it for several days, I noticed the compressor was running and wasn’t shutting off…the set screws that holds the motor pulley on was completely missing, the key had came out of the key way and the pulley had moved over, resulting in the belt being thrown off…I had to purchase new set screws and will probably end up having to buy a new belt…the “service plan” and warranty is about worthless if you actually need to use your compressor and can’t afford for it to be down…having to wait for a tech to be sent out is not practical…in hindsight I would have went a different route…tractor supply was less than helpful in honoring any kind of warranty…it would have been a nice jester to at least provide the pressure switch to fix the compressor, instead of me being out 60 more dollars, plus the aggravation of having to buy set screws and fix another poor quality control mistake with the motor pulley……I expected a LOT more from a 1000 dollar compressor, the issues I had should never have happened…I definitely won’t be purchasing anything else like that from tractor supply…

Smoked & smelled like fire as wires were cooking

It’s a sad day. I’ve always loved Tractor Supply until yesterday . I purchased a DeWalt Air Compressor. It was $962.00. I purchased it February 1st. March 6 6, 36 days later the compressor fried. I called TS to see what I needed to do. Both times I asked for Store Manager I’m told they’re busy or not around. Then I was asked what I needed  I explained the situation and both people asked “did you purchase the pro plan plus” (extended warranty) which I responded no  , I’m confident in DeWalt products. I’ve had and used for years. Tractor Supply stands behind DeWalt for 30 days no exceptions  . So I had to load it up and take it to a service center. 36 days old and I have to load this thing up and drive it to service center . Just remember , they want you to buy extended warranty because TS policy is stand behind DeWalt for 30 days .  What a joke. I have a small business and purchased from TS with confidence. New small print. 30 days is the warranty to return or exchange.
