Missing oil fill plug

Got compressor home, unboxed, and compressor oil was everywhere inside of plastic that covered compressor in the box. It was a feat to get it back to the house with a borrowed truck. So I went back to store and showed them photos and asked if I could have the plug off of one of the floor models. They said NO! and I COULD ORDER ONE!!!! From there is went to another store and got a 3/8 NPT plug to fit and a xl bottle of degreaser and compressor oil. Will definitely NOT be a tractor supply guy anymore... as far as the compressor..... it runs great now and is as advertised.

This the perfect size unit I was looking for my shop. The unit is easy to use and maintain, Were I set up the unit the noise level is very minimal. This size unit puts out ample amount of pressure throughout my airflow system that I installed throughout my workshop! Having a portable unit I’m able to use this compressor in my garage, and on job sites!

Faulty Pressure Switch

The automatic pressure switch failed to turn the compressor on at low pressure. Warranty support ignored requests to address the issue. I ordered a replacement switch at my cost, and it suffers the same malfunction. I have ordered a different brand switch to fix the issue. I will not buy a DeWalt compressor again and I will be more careful before I purchase any DeWalt product.

I ordered one of these online. September 10, 2025 to be exact. It said it would be at the store on the 19th of September and ready for pickup. I had to reach out to the store and inquire if it was there. Their employees acted like I was putting them out inquiring poor customer service. Said it was there I went to pick up and it had oil all over it as if it had been turned over. I inquired with the associate they said something spilled on it from the truck the compressor was fine. I take it home put it in my shop and did not use it until October 29th. When I tried to use it wouldn’t pressurize and the motor it kept picking up and wouldn’t turn the pulleys. I reached out to tractor supply they said well your SOL it’s been over 30 days and you did not buy the extended service protection. Mind you it’s brand new I had not used it at all until the 29th when I tried to use it and found issues. Told me to reach out to Dewalt customer support. Tractor supply Kirksville Missouri customer service is terrible won’t do business there anymore. Dewalt so far is standing behind it I’m currently waiting on a new motor from Dewalt hopefully fixes the problem.

Broken upon arrival

The compressor had a broken flywheel and damaged guard cage, rendering it inoperable. Unfortunately, I took possession of the package and had to immediately depart on a week long trip. Upon return and unboxing, I realized that the tool had been damaged somewhere along the line, even though the packaging was undamaged. I called Tractor Supply and was told to deal with Dewalt. I then find that the item is discontinued and parts are widely unavailable. Nobody wants to be accountable. I was finally able to source a replacement flywheel as the part is identical, down to the part number, for a certain Husky compressor. Figure that one out.

I bought this compressor on sale after reading all of the negative reviews know I could easily return it if necessary. I experienced none of the negative issues some reported. I did the break in as outlined and have used the compressor regularly every day since for the last week. The tank holds pressure overnight. The compressor is fairly quiet and recovers in a reasonable amount of time. The output regulator works as it should to control the air going to your tools. I would like to put out a little more pressure than what it allows, but I'm okay with what it does. It appears parts are readily available if I should ever need to repair or rebuild it. With regular maintenance, however, it will probably never need that. This is a good compressor that should work well for you if you take care of it.

Much quieter than I thought it would be. Charged up to full pressure quite quickly. Want to use it for lite sand blasting (removing old paint from small wood pieces around the house). I think this will work really well.

Compressor was delivered while I was at work. Upon unboxing, saw that there was oil everywhere except in the compressor. I couldn't see any damage, but by where the oil stains were on the cardboard, it looked like the shipping company had it laying on its side for some time. After going to my local TSC and purchasing a bottle of oil, filling up the pump, cleaning off the spilled oil, checking for damage and verifying everything was bolted down properly, I ran the break-in procedure without issue. Checked for leaks and didn't find any. Tested with an impact, ratchet and air hammer with no issues. Hopefully this unit will serve as long as the one is replaced (20 years)

very nice compressor, pumps efficiently and is quite. Dewalt is known for its quality even with components made in China. Two nice improvements to the overall quality would be addind an lower tank extension to drain and add a drain extension for changing the oil.

Good compressor, relatively quiet. Easy to set up. Just check your fittings and bolts as with any new piece of equipment. Specs say 120v only, but the one I bought had a motor that ran off 120 or 240, just have to move the jumpers in the motor like any 120/240 motor. Did the break in procedure and rechecked all bolts and fittings. Started using it right after that.
