Q: can this run a plasma cutter that needs 5cfm at 80psi
3 years ago- A: This product delivers 7.7 CFM at 40 PSI and 6.0 CFM at 90 PSI.3 years agoHelpful?
Q: will this compressor support a HVLP spray gun ?
5 years ago- A: Most HVLP spray guns operate in the 40 PSI area. This DEWALT 30 gallon 155 PSI air compressor creates 7.7 SCFM at 40 PSI. You will need to find a HVLP spray gun that requires 7.7 SCFM or less to operate it on this air compressor. Also, while this compressor will most likely operate a HVLP paint spray gun, it is recommended it be used intermittently for this application. It will operate the spray gun for smaller hobby type jobs or paint jobs where you don't require continuous use for extended periods of time. For tasks like automotive painting, it is better to use a 60 gallon or larger air compressor that can handle longer periods of run time without interruption.5 years agoHelpful?
Q: I need a compressor for my Miller 375x plasma cutter ... I am working in my garage, in a single family home.. need something that can handle the job but also not too loud . Can you recommend a good portable compressor?
5 years ago- A: This 30 gallon compressor has a decibel rating of 82 dBA. It delivers 7.7 SCFM @ 40 PSI and 6.0 SCFM @ 90 PSI, with a max working pressure of 155 PSI.Please consult your plasma cutter specifications to see if this compressor can meet the demand.5 years agoHelpful?
Q: What is the maximum consecutive amount of hours you can run this compressor in a 24 hour period? Or how long ca. You run this machine before it needs a break to cool off?
6 years ago- A: This compressor is rated at a 50% duty cycle. We recommend that the unit run no more than 30 minutes on & then 30 minutes off. If you are looking for a compressor to run continuously then please consider an industrial two-stage compressor.6 years agoHelpful?
Q: What is the required electrical outlet
7 years ago- A: This unit is rated at 115 volt, 15 amp standard household current. If you are using fuses, be sure they are time delay fuses. It is best that nothing else be plugged into this same circuit, as an induction air compressor motor will draw a good deal of current upon start up. Use of an extension cord is not recommended.7 years agoHelpful?
Q: Is this compressor suitable for sand blasting?
7 years ago- A: Because a sandblaster is considered a continuously operating air tool, it does require quite a bit of constant, continuous air flow to support it. Typically for a larger job, an 80 gallon compressor is best suited for sandblasting needs. If, however, your project is smaller more of a small hobby project, this may work for you, although it will take longer to accomplish. Note: Always check the SCFM air delivery requirements of your air tool and compare them to the air out put of the compressor. Feel free to contact 1-888-895-4549 for additional questions suited to your particular project.7 years agoHelpful?
Q: what is the life expectancy of the pump in hours?
7 years ago- A: Thank you for your interest of the DEWALT 30 gallon air compressor. To answer your question, the life expectancy of the compressor pump depends on the environment you are operating the compressor within. For example, pump life will be extended if you operate the compressor in a clean environment and follow recommended maintenance (i.e. drain the tank). If the environment is not clean and is operated in a dusty/dirty environment, operated in a high humid environment, the life expectancy of the pump will be less. Please contact MAT Customer Care @ (888) 895-4549 as we would like to better understand your work environment to better answer your question.7 years agoHelpful?
Q: Want to use for multiple purposes, primarily cut-off, grinding, sanding and painting. Although not intended for daily use but for the above purposes w/ attachments rated within PSI and CFM ranges, will this do the job?
8 years ago- A: The cut off tool, grinders & sanders are continuously operating air tools and as such require quite a bit of air. So if used in a daily application, a larger tank such as a 60 or 80 gallon would be necessary so you have an adequate air supply. If it is to be used strictly for an occasional small project, this unit should work but you may need to wait for the compressor to pump back up occasionally - again due to the grinders & sanders needing quite a bit of air.8 years agoHelpful?
Q: Can this compressor perform an irrigation blow out?
8 years ago- A: This really depends on the length of pipe and size of system. The manufacturer or installer of the irrigation system would generally have a recommendation as to what is needed.8 years agoHelpful?
Q: How does this perform in the cold, say 15-20 degree F?
8 years ago- A: This air compressor is actually oil free, so you would not have an issue with the oil being thick or sluggish at below freezing temperatures. If the unit is stored constantly at below freezing, you would need to allow it to warm up in order to properly drain any moisture or condensation forming in the tank.8 years agoHelpful?
