I used the 1/8 inch bit to drill rivet holes in a steel folding chair because the back of the chair was separating from the frame. After drilling six holes, the drill bit was dull and unable to drill the 7th hole. The steel of the chair was thin and getting only six holes out of one bit seems unreasonable.

I purchased this set a few months back and have experienced mixed results. Some of the bits in the set work excellent and others do NOT. The 5/16" Bit completely wore out after roughly 10 holes. Is this something other customers have experienced? How do I get this bit replaced free-of-charge?

I am replacing a set of these that I have had for 16 years. There are no permanent drill bits. These stay on center when drilling hardened steel and do not dull easily. In case you didn't know, Cobalt added to the composition keeps the bit from dulling easily as it heats up. Like they do when drilling hardened steel. The machinists I have worked with referenced this quality as "red hardness". If you are drilling wood or softer materials, less expensive drills will do a fine job. Keep these stashed away for tough jobs like drilling a broken off, hardened bolt out of an engine block.
