Q: What does the free end attach to? It does not look like a hook that you could loop the line around a post and fasten. Please provide installation instructions. Thank you.

- A: Hi, our Single Retractable Clothesline can hold approximately 30 pounds of clothes. When putting the clothes on our clothes line we recommend that customers do not put all of their clothes near the center of the line to avoid sagging the line and they should spread their clothes evenly across the line. - A: Hi CT_Mom, our clothesline cord is designed to hold 2/3lbs per foot of line. It will 'droop' where there is an excess of weight, so for example, if there are a number of wet towels loaded close together it will droop more than if they were spread out.3 years agoHelpful?

Total disappointment. The cord stretches and with only 1/2 of my clothes on the line it was dragging my clothes on the ground. I did exactly as directed, looped the cord 2x, etc. Not worth the money.

Broke after a few weeks

From day one sagged terribly. I mounted it juwt above 6 ft and in the middle the clothes would be touching the ground. That was annoying but even worse is that the plastic hook to secure the line broke (with my clothes on it, dumping them in the dirt) after just a few uses. Totally worthless junk.
No, I do not recommend this product.

Love my retractable clothesline!

My dryer needed repairing, so had been wanting to buy a retractable clothesline anyway to dry large items such as towels and sheets outside in this hot weather. Love the quality of this clothesline, and it has been perfect so far. In this extremely hot weather, it only takes about an hour for items to dry outside, and I am saving money by having smaller loads in my dryer. Another bonus is how fresh and good towels and sheets smell when dried outside in the sunshine!
