We have enjoyed our first 2 batches of vegan ice cream. My husband can't tolerate dairy and non-dairy ice cream is so expensive. It's a treat to make our own!

Ordered the Cuisinart 2 Quart ice cream maker and have been extremely impressed! I have already used it several times for ice cream and frozen custard. Easy to use, a breeze to clean, and totally satisfied with the results. I have even adapted some recipes to add fruit, dairy free and sugar free desserts. I am looking forward to trying the frozen yogurt, gelato and sorbet recipes!

Homemade is BEST!

I bought this ice cream maker because I can no longer find a particular flavor of ice cream I enjoyed as a child - sliced lemon. Also because I don't have the energy to hand churn any more! After a few tries to get the lemon slices just right (candied in simple syrup), my first quart of ice cream turned out perfectly wonderful!
I initially left the inner ice part in a chest freezer for 48 hours. I made the custard base for the ice cream and refrigerated it for 24 hours. When I put the 2 together, I had devine ice cream in less than 25 minutes. It was soft serve at this point. Delicious, but I wanted it firmer, so I packed it into 2 pint containers and let it freeze for another couple of hours.
You owe it to yourself, any children, or grabdchildren, to introduce them to homemade ice cream. There is no comparison to anything commercially made.

I was skeptical, as most of us are with this kind of appliance…they never work the way it’s advertised or it ends up being a lot harder to use but this one is different!!! It’s so easy to use that I questioned it at first, the ice cream is a perfect texture, you can adjust it to your sweetness level, you taste the natural ingredients of it. Don’t worry about it not making enough, it makes more than enough!! If you have allergies, diabetes, intolerances, picky kids, you can accommodate anyone. And once the bucket is frozen, it really only takes 30 min to mix up. No complaints
