It bolts right up without taking the deck off but good idea to take deck off . I’ve used 4 times this winter and works like a charm . The only thing is having to get off the tractor to change angle of blade but still giving it five stars.

I had Weingarten assemble the plow but when I went to attach it to my mower it just didn't fit. Someone from Weingarten then came out to our home with a drill and widen holes etc. just to get it to attach. The control which allows you to raise and lower the blade doesn't work and the bolt keeps sticking, preventing the blade from being lower. I have to physically push the bolt out using a steel rod and a hammer. Lastly, the plow is basically useless if there's more than 6" of snow. The mower just doesn't have the horsepower and even with ice chains on the tires they just spin when trying to move anything deeper. I'm honestly surprised that Cub Cadet even sells this accessory given its ineffectiveness and what seems to be widespread manufacturing defects.

When the blade arrived, the carton was damaged and hardware bag was open and the hardware was missing. We had ready access to parts so that created no problem. The blade was not damaged. The hood of the tractor had to be removed to install the blade mounting bracket which was not difficult. The blade mounts to the bracket and is removed without removing the hood. We were not able to actually test it pushing snow because the battery in the lawn tractor had died due to the cold weather and the tractor would not start. Will try it with the next snow.
