Q: Two people asked the same question and neither reply was complete. Do these convert from cat 1 to 2 or do they convert from cat 1 to 3?

1 Answer
  • A: You need bushings when using Category 1 attachments with a Quick Hitch because the hitch hooks are typically designed to fit the larger pin sizes of Category 2 (or sometimes Category 3) implements. Category 1 pins are smaller, so without bushings, the Quick Hitch won’t seat properly on the implement’s lower pins—leading to loose connections, potential wear, and safety concerns. A Category 1 bushing kit is meant to adapt Category 1 pins to fit into a Category 2 or Category 3 Quick Hitch. They make the implement’s smaller pins compatible with the larger Quick Hitch hooks. Here’s how it breaks down: • Category 1 pin size: 7/8” diameter (lower pins), 3/4” (top pin) • Category 2 hitch hook size: 1-1/8” lower hook opening • Category 3 hitch hook size: 1-7/16” lower hook opening So if you’re using a Category 2 Quick Hitch on a Category 1 implement, you’d use Category 1-to-2 bushings. If you’re using a Category 3 Quick Hitch, you’d need Category 1-to-3 bushings.

  • A: We do not have the quick hitch details to advise on the question. 265325 (22KIT007TSC) CNL CAT 1 QUICK CNL HITCH BUSH is a universal part with multiple uses. The end customer must determine if the part number meets his or her specific requirements

  • A: Yes, I have the same set up. A 1025R John Deere Tractor. I have installed the very same bushing on a Rotary Tiller (Lands Pride) and a Tank Sprayer (Fimco Model LG-40-12V). I have had no problems with bushings failing.

Quick Hitch System Makes it Easy

Changeing implements was a pain in the neck for me especially if I did not have any help. Now its easy. I've converted all of my implements to "Quick Hitch Ready" with Tractor Supply Pins and bushings. Highly recommend that you up-grade your 3-point hitch to "Quick-Hitch"

missing roll pin

I purchase two of these quick hitch bushing and realized they are not kits they are just a single bushing without the roll pin. I was unable to secure them on my implement so they are currently just paper weights until I am able to find the pins that fit them.

Missing slotted spring pins

I have a pair of these that is missing the slotted spring pins. I thought it would be easy to just buy some replacement pins (I think they are 7/16" x 1-3/8" slotted spring pins), but I can't find anywhere locally at all or online that doesn't sell them only in large quantities. I only need two, not 100 (or minimum order of $50, such as https://www.huyett.com/spp-437-1375?e2f77446744570facd66d9906ec0d40b=2). And the price for 100 is more than the cost of the bushings, so that's not cost-effective. I have multiple of these on each of the implements I use with my Quick Hitch, but this pair has no pins. I still have the packaging (though no receipt and who knows how long ago this pair was purchased), so maybe my best option is to take these back to the store and replace it with one that has the pins.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Online pickup. Store doesn’t know anything.

Online order pickup. The store gave me two bushing and said that it was the price for each separate bushing. No pins and no set. I ordered two “sets” and got two separate bushings. I went to a different store and the bushings were packaged together as a “set” as the picture shows. Other than the store being unknowledgeable the bushing are great and solid.

Yes, I recommend this product.
