Nice Trap

Managed to catch possum in only a few days of trap being set. It is easy to setup and although it is large is not bad to handle. I think it is helpful to make sure it is set on flat ground so there is no chance the door would get hung when closing. I used tent stakes to secure it to the ground in the field so it appeared to be more stable when approached by a critter.

Cheap and not worth it

Had fox stealing chickens. Caught 10+ coons everyone seemed to reach through wire and released door by bending the wire and escaped. I put a stop on it like the new trap and now it just bent the wire and escaped. Wire is flimsy easily bent and cheap. Due to this the trap is easily caught on itself and doesn't go off even when several animals are standing on trigger. Worse money spent!

It broke immediately

The dog I was trying to catch immediately bent the wires that are supposed to hold the trap shut and got out. I had high hopes for this trap because it’s affordable and large. Unfortunately it only scared off the dog. We’ve been trying to catch him for a month now. If the animal you’re trying to catch is very docile, this trap may work for you, but if you’re expecting any resistance you should try something else.

Literally the worst thing I've ever bought. Every animal it has caught has pulled the door back and escaped. I literally watched it happen one time. Cheap metal, flimsy doors. Im a single mom and I spent a lot of money on this. I'm so angry because of course I can't return it since I didn't try it till I needed it and now it's been a 3 months. Grrr

Same problem as everyone else. I bought two traps. I've have a animal escape from each. Looks like it was a coon the last time. Bent the mechanism holding the door close.
