The red 2 inch gate is very poorly made. I have it inside of a barn for separation of steers . It didn't last 2years .. The other gate was a 2 inch built by Souix , It was 18yrs old before it needed replacement

I operate a horse rescue with 20 horses. We have all breeds, ages, and temperaments. We have many gates. Over the years, I have found that cheap gates do not last against 900-1250 lb. horses if they want to be somewhere else. These gates are heavy, easy to install, and keep our horses where they belong!!
