Excellent quality chicks and very safe shipping

I ordered these in January, 2023 we had one that didn’t make it past 12 hours but out of 20 chicken 19 survived and it’s now March. I would definitely recommend anyone looking to order online its so simple, I will be ordering meat chicks soon.

Never received tracking number after shipping

Had to call Hoovers hatchery directly to find out order had been shipped and to obtain the tracking number. Order is still showing processing today on the tractor supply website when it had already been delivered for days. When I called Hoovers hatchery, they blamed tractor supply for not updating the order status and tracking information. When I called tractor supply, they said Hoovers hatchery is responsible for updating the shipment information in the system. I don't know who I'm supposed to believe, but if you want to receive your chicks in a timely manner, do not trust the order status page or wait for an email with tracking information, you'll probably be waiting for days or weeks after the order has been shipped. If your post office doesn't call, your chicks could be sitting at the post office for days. I feel horrible for all the potential lives lost due to this systematic oversight, either by Hoovers or tractor supply. These aren't books or tshirts being shipped across the country, they are living, breathing animals and don't deserve to suffer during to logistical hiccups that neither company seems to take responsibility for. I recommend calling Hoovers everyday after placing your order to make sure you actually find out when the chicks are shipped and expected to be delivered. These companies won't care enough to notify you.

never received the right package

I would not order from TSC anymore. First it was one breed only, I asked for a replacement, then this time there were 3 breeds, but all are brown egg layers. I asked for 2 white egg layer chicks and I was told a"NO" because there us no guarantee. But I ordered a mix of brown and white egg layers. Not brown egg only chicks. I had kept communication each time, asked when and what was sent, I was promised it would be the right pack and on a certain day. But they were not the right pack, and it was the wrong delivery date. I had to take a 1.5-hr Uber ride to go home, costing med more than $100, to get the ckicks so they would not die.
If I had know it was not a brown and white egg layer pack, I would change the order, but no one told me that when I called many times before they were shipped.

Chicken Mix

The ordering process was quick and easy. Delivery of the chicks to the post office was great. Unfortunately, 3 of the 10 chicks passed away upon arrival. The mix of chick was not as advertised and all were brown egg layers. The 7 remaining chicks appear to be healthy and happy in their new coop and enjoying the CA sunshine.

Dead chicks

I received 7 dead chicks out of 10 . Had I known they would not put a heat pad in the order I would have ordered . Terrible
