I just bought on of these online as I live on a lake and my German Shepherds like to fetch toys out of the water. I threw it into the lake and it promptly sunk to the bottom. Made of high density rubber, rubber floats right? What's under the rubber? Lead?

Falsely advertised. Does not float in water whatsoever. It sank like a rock… thought it was defective, so I purchased another two days ago. Sank to the bottom of my pond. Very disappointed.

Our dogs, a large German Shepherd and an American Fox Hound Beagle mix, love this thing. The Shepherd sleeps with it and is very happy. Way easier to toss than the logs he usually brings us to throw. So far it has minimal chew damage. He is ball obsessed but really enjoys the "stick".

I saw this in the store and thought it would be perfect for the lake! The first thing I did was look online to see if it would float and I read that it did - yay, score! So I bought it. You can't even imagine my disappointment when I yelled "Go get it!" to my dog, and the whole family laughed as I watched it drop into the depths like a torpedo. So sad, and the water is too deep to dive for it so I can't even use it on land, return or exchange it. I'm kicking myself for not testing it first or researching more online. I think it would be a great toy, but I cannot recommend for those looking for a water toy.
