This Trace Mineral Salt Block is specially formulated cattle feed designed to help meet the salt and trace element requirements of most livestock. The livestock feed includes trace minerals that complement the diet to help promote digestion, growth, maintenance of body tissues, proper reproductive processes, and general animal well-being. It's suitable for cattle, horses, goats and swine. This mineral block comes in a 50 lb. block measuring 10.5 in. Each block is weather resistant to withstand the elements and reduce waste. I bought 2 of these about 2 months ago for Deer on my property-placed them about 10 yards from my Trail camera and the deer are loving them. They also do not melt away or fall apart from Rain like some in the past.You do not have to spend a lot of money on the Deer mineral block because this one works just fine and saves you some money.

I put this out in our pasture for the deer and wild birds. The deer use it year round but more in the winter months when they need the salt and minerals they can’t grt then. The dove come in every evening and peck at the block and the dirt around the block. The block holds up well in the rain. I suggest laying it on its side in a salt / mineral block holder to keep it off the ground.

Must have item, either trace mineral block or iodized block. There is little iodine in the coastal area, too mich rain, without additional iodine available your cattle are subject to picking up hoof rot. Especially if sheep are in the area. We have fed iodized or trace mineral blocks for 65 years here. Always keep them available to the livestock, it pays.
