      • A: After the width and spring centers the bolt pattern on the hubs, 5 Bolts on 4 1/2" centers. Usually the spring mounts (mounting clamps are OK.

Q: how do you measure hub face dimensions?

      1 Answer
      • A: On the axle you have the wheel studs for mounting the tires. At the base of the wheel studs you have the hub face. So measure from face of hub to face of hub for your hub face dimension.

      Didn't fit

I measured my current axle as described in the how to order guide and the axle i recieved, though labeled by the manufacturer as the correct axle, did not match the dimensions I measured. There could have been a misunderstanding in the directions (although "hub face" seems to have only one possible meaning to me) but a simple diagram showing the dimensions at different points on the axle I wished to buy would have prevented any confusion.

The 3K8874EZ axle for example has a hub face to hub face dimension of 88". The center to center of the spring mounts is 74 1/2". The EZ is for easy lube access for the grease. Carry-OnTrailer
