highly recommend this scope

nice and clear scope on it and i love it because you can dial it up to a reasonable distance to shoot a big game animal and i just got the app on App Store and showed me what to do and set me up just like that. when its just about to go dark it got a cool key feature that you can twist the knob and lights up the cross hairs i like this feature because usually the deer and other game animals come out just on dark so i highly recommend this scope for a bush scope and a long distances scope.
after i talked so good about this scope hopefully they see this and donate me a custom dial on my scope that's the only thing that i need to finish my set up with my scope and gun. but thanks burris for a awesome scope!

Excellent hunting scope.

Saw Backfire.TV reviews of this scope on YouTube and he had this scope ranked as the best big game hunting scope at its price point. I have to say that I agree. FFP scopes get a lot of attention, but to be honest I prefer an illuminated, simple designed RFP reticle like the Burris E3. I love how the only center of the cross hair illuminates. It’s much easier to find the reticle the timber when on low magnification than some of the more target shooting focused FFP that YouTube hunting channels are promoting, and it’s cheaper.

So I snagged this scope up to give it a try considering the price was right and I have a friend with a similar model and had explained he was rather satisfied.
Packaging was great and the presentation was rather nice. Fit and finish was done in a manner where you could tell some care was implemented. Burris also got it shipped to me within 3 days.
Mounting was straight forward. I mounted this in a brand new Weatherby 304 Range XP 2 in 25 creed. The only issue I have which is neither company’s fault was some very slight clearance issues when the bolt is lifted it contacts the zoom dial and they ever so slightly rubs against each other (I’m using the Talley one piece light weight rings at medium height, which typically are issue free).
The glass quality is better than expected but not the best on earth. Most people would find them excellent for typical use. The reticle is clear and concise without unnecessary fluff. The illumination is very good as it only illuminates the center of the reticle versus everything like most do. I find over illumination is less than ideal.
Turrets and adjustment are middle of the road I guess with my considerations. The diopter adjustment is actually really good… more responsive than many of my high end optics. The turrets are of a great design I think the design is fantastic the push pull, zero stop method is perfect….. but the execution is unfortunately poor. I’m beyond confused why the entire mechanism below the turret caps are plastic… this makes the clicks rather indistinct and kinda mush versus a brass mechanism. I’m assuming they chalked it up to cost savings despite the millions they likely spent in the design. It’s rather unfortunate and a simple drop in the field will likely break the entire turret off. A true bummer considering the engineering is better than anything else I’ve seen from the premier competition on the market.
I will post updates once I get some more field experience with the optic.

Aim Small Miss Small

Great scope and great addition to my .300. Clarity is excellent, lightweight for what it is, and allows plenty of light to come in during those early and late times hunting.
