The Hoover's Hatchery Live Buff Orpington Baby Chicks are the most popular and most common of all the Orpington varieties with their fluffy golden buff plumage and sweet dispositions. One of the best breeds for newcomers to chickens and families with young children is named for the English town where it was developed. Orpingtons come in several feather colors but all are big, quiet birds with fluffy feathers that keep them toasty warm during frigid weather. Known to be one of the gentlest of breeds, Orpingtons are easy to manage, very friendly, cold hardy birds that tend to be broody, are great setters and make excellent mothers. Whether putting together your first backyard coop or you're already a seasoned chicken caretaker, these Buff Orpington chicks are a great choice.

Terrible experience. The order was repeatedly delayed and then when it arrived, four of them were dead. No response from TSC or Hoover. Just awful.

Poor Baby Chicks

3 of the 10 baby chicks died. 1 chick arrived long gone and the other 2 didn't make it much longer. They were clearly malnourished, dehydrated and so stressed by the time we received them. If TS is going to send baby chicks in the mail, they should figure out a way to overnight the chicks to reduce fatalities. It was heartbreaking to see.

Well two of them died within the first 3 days. The others are thriving/ I was so sad. But I’m grateful for the ones who survived. I don’t believe it was post office issues. The two that passed looked sick.
