Effectiveness

This product worked pretty well once we figured out to use it in a spray bottle instead of hooking it to a hose. I mixed it with water and it definitely kills the lantern flies on contact. It also smells really good and I think its helped repell various bugs as well.

One tool in the Spotted Lantern Fly battle!

We are fans of trying to reduce the spotted lantern fly population so I was excited to try the Bonide Captain Jack's Spotted Lantern Fly Elimination spray. In hindsight I wish we had received it at the time where the nymphs were just starting vs later in the season, as they seemed to spread out to different areas. We sprayed the trees they seemed to favor while being cautious to not spray around the house (didn't realize this spray also kills crickets and other non invasive insects!) If you have a heavy infestation, this would be a good tool in your arsenal to reduce the Lantern Fly population.

this landfill works as expected. It smells like a bug repellent. My one issue with it is the sprayer. I feel like it doesn’t spray any consistent stream or so in little spurts.

This review is for Cdptain Jack's Bonide Spotted Lanterfly Eliminator, 16oz Ready-to-Spray Insect Control Solution. The set-up was fairly simple, attach the the hose to the spray bottle, but the knob to turn off and on was a bit more difficult requiring 2 hands to turn off and on. It would be nice if there was something to adjust the spray stream. The instructions indicate that it's safe for people and pets; however, I would recommend keeping away during application and for quite a while afterward because it has a very very strong odor. Hopefully the bugs hate the smell too!
