This little thing is great. I'm afraid of weed whackers and don't know how to use the gas-powered ones very well. This one plugs in and has its own little cart so you can't hurt yourself. It's so lightweight my children could use it. I'm not worried about them injuring themselves and I'm not struggling to use it myself. Everything about it is easy to use. It plugs in to an extension cord. The only negative on this is it is extremely difficult to plug in a good extension cord with a ground peg. This mower does not have a ground and the circular plug-in port is extremely tight fitting. I struggled to get it plugged in properly and it even caused a little bit of scraping on my cord plug. The connection kept coming apart it was extremely frustrating. I almost had to go find someone stronger to plug it in for me. A better plug design would be great. Overall this is an amazing product.

after a year and a half of light to moderate use one day it broke internally sending the head crashing into my neighbor's garage door. Thankfully did not injure my daughter who was using at time.

I wanted to love this thing but after two uses i have found what other reviewers have found - the base wont stay attached to the trimmer making it nearly impossible to use as mower. Maybe i got a detective model? Any suggestions for how to keep it attached?

Great Idea. A cross between a weed eater and a string mower.

This strimmer/mower is advertised and sold as "corded" but does not come with a power cord. It can't be used 'straight out of the box' and requires additional expenditure to even function. Buyer beware!

love it, has so many functions, most like that I can make the handle shorter and the base makes it so I don't have to carry it to do all of the trimming

This is dangerous because the trimmer/edger will not stay in the mower attachment. Any change in ground level bumps it out while the trimmer is operating as does weed or thick clump of grass. The trimmer is heavy and it works great but when you are mowing and it comes out without warning, that is a good way to get hurt badly. This has been an ongoing problem with this for several years, and while one reviewer showed how to use an elastic bungee cord around handle and hooked onto the back of the deck to hold it in place, that is not a good solution. I wanted it because at close to 70 and by myself, this would have helped me greatly, but since I am on blood thinner I don't need to use something that is this unsafe.

Great for a small space. Smooth cutting. Very light weight. Great for me(74 year old lady)

The product came as describe. It was very easy to put together. I had to mow a half an acre and it work pretty well. The only thing I didn't like the lever in the back that controlled the hook to hold edger in rower. The clip that held the edger in place needs to be a bit bigger to hold. Once the mower filled with grass the clip would move and the edger would come out meaning disconnecting the whole unit. But all in all it was a great product..

This is an awesome product. Being able to use the bottom and not have to carry it the whole time is really wonderful.

This is compact and lightweight. Being a senior weedeating was difficult until I found this no more swing my arms all day to mow. Assembly was easy. It mows most of the grass and weeds. I was able to use the edging along side the house for the tall weeds in the small planter area. It was a great purchase too bad it is not available in store.

Fell in love with this.... at first. After only a year, the string wouldn't advance and the trimmer pops off the base because the clip isn't long enough. What was initially a light, easy to use tool has turned into something we HATE to use. Ine pensive yes, but still not worth it. Told everyone about it. Now I regret that. Actually already posted this review but it's been deleted from this site.

This is perfect for meI am 79 and 5 y’all. I have a fenced back ya d on a slope and this is perfect for me to handle as a mower or as a weed eater. Always put lot of trust in Black and Decker and this did not fail me either.

It did a great job with a driveway and bushes that were long overdue, overgrown and tough. Lightweight and easy to use, and the auto-feed worked well.

You can't cut a lawn with this regardless how small. It cuts very unevenly and would take forever. Weed eater works good. Very disappointed.

This is just what I needed for my small backyard. Works great and my little backyard looks so much better now that I’ve finally been able to cut my lawn.

So im a totally new home owner and had to drop my gardners because of the budget and saving money so i went looking for a lawn mower and was borrowing my family members but they either wouldnt work or was a pain to transport in my small vehicle so i got this (totally free from my work) and at first i was thinking it wont work my yard is about 100x 100 ft but after using it im impressed i ran it off 100 ft extension cord 14 guage as the owners manual stated and had no problems no breaker popped or hot motor and it cut through wet grass with little struggle . The small cons are the mower deck cant adjust and the weedeater fits somewhat loose in the deck but it works great if your a guy like me who just wants to knock down some grass and doesnt really care about a better homes and garden look. If I had to buy with actual money i probably would go for the cordless model but i cant complain it works well

Bought this product to help assist in mowing a hill. As trying to do this task, the deck attachment kept detaching from sting trimmer, without stepping on the release lever. Also disappointed that you don’t have the opinion of refilling the string, you have to buy a new cartridge of string. Greatly disappointed.

I thought the trim cord wore away by hitting hard surfaces. I ran out of the original and bought more. In the past the amount of cord I wound around would last 3-4 months. This one lasted 20 MINUTES. It was gone! The whole roll was used up cutting grass in 20 minutes. I have filled it twice and still haven't finished my cutting. The automatic feed must be designed to feed and cut itself off every 2 feet. I was wrong to buy this product.

This mower did the trick, no issues. The cord could be a bit longer, but all-in-all, a great piece of equipment!

This is easy to use and makes fast work of mowing a small yard. However, the trimmer line included with the trimmer mower didn't last two sessions. My yard is about 40 x 15. So, that's a lot to trimmer spools to buy to complete one summer of growing grass.

It is a perfect size. I have a small fenced in backyard . I am very happy with the way it works. Did a terrific job.

bought corded version by accident,wanted battery version,read reviews about battery versions and decided to keep corded,plus liked wheel edger guide on corded version vs. wire on battery version. Mower deck seems safer, but not for use in high grass. Adjustable length handle ok for me,short for taller person. Already had corded auto feed B & D Grass Hog

I have a small lawn and don't have the space to store a full size mower. This is a perfect solution. The combination edger is really easy and I don't have to buy a separate tool to produce professional-looking results. I just hose off the trimmer and base after each use, and store them separately. Makes the job of mowing/edging really easy. Great invention.
