We recommend measuring the circumference of your tree trunk from 4.5 feet up and mixing 1 ounce for every inch of circumference with 1 gallon of water. For example, a tree that is 30 inches around will need 30 ounces mixed with 1 gallon of water. Borers beware!

Purchased when we got borers in a beautiful Texas Ebony that grows outside our home entrance. We thought the tree might be lost, but the Protect and Feed cleared it up in no time and now the tree looks healthier than ever. I can't recommend this product highly enough.

Bought this, got it home and tried to read directions...printed on paper that is not water resistant and all stuck together. I tried to find directions on your website and no detail found. Obviously, this product got wet prior to my purchasing, but if using at home, around water, the same thing could happen....Please print on something more durable and water resistant, and for heaven's sake have the directions on the web site! (or more easily found...I'm still looking)

Put on my Hibiscus and no more nasty Japanese Beetles. I was wondering if this would work on Swamp Milkweed to prevent the yellow aphids or would it harm the monarch caterpillars or the adult monarch butterfly?

Been buying this stuff for several years now. (Used to be called "Bayer" - apparently now goes by Bio-Advanced. Same color container - same size. Used to be called Tree & Shrub, now it's just "Tree." Anyway, it's not cheap - but it really works. Got rid of my whitefly issue on Gardenias and I also use it on Japanese Blueberry trees. No more insect problems!

Did NOT kill the scale as promised

Treated a month ago, followed directions exactly.. The good: lots of new green growth on branches where a scale infestation was destroying my pyracantha. The bad: doesn't seem to have done anything to get rid of the scale, so all it did was provide more food for them.

I've been using Bayer, Tree, and Shrub Protect, and Feed and most recently purchased a 32oz container. I have Oleanders and they have been attacked and slowly dying, however, I purchased a container several months ago used it on three of the fifteen oleanders and they look amazingly healthy. They are all white flower plants that are susceptible to this .... insect. So, I'm going to continue to use BioAdvanced Tree and Shrub hoping that I can save my expensive landscape here in cental Phoenix.

I bought this product 6 months ago and I have seen a significant decrease in white flies on my Indian Laurel ficus. Unfortunately the white fly has returned. Would I be able to re apply or do I need to wait the entire 12 months?

If this treatment is absorbed by root system and protects the tree from inside out, it means that the poison will be as well in the flowers and fruits of the tree? I have avocado tree with leave Lace bug damage. Sounds like, it would be a good treatment for the tree, but the flowers would be poisonous for bees and fruits for humans? Or not?

BioAdvanced products (including those containing imidacloprid or clothianidin) do not adversely impact bee colony health when used according to label directions. The 12 Month Tree & Shrub Protect & Feed is not recommended for use on any food producing trees or shrubs. We do have a Fruit & Citrus Tree Insect Control systemic that may be safely applied to avocado trees for lacebug control. After application you would need to wait at least 6 days before harvesting to ensure the avocados will be safe for consumption.

I've used the liquid version of this product on my ficus whiteflys and its worked fantastic. This year I tried the granules because I have a longer hedge to cover and it was easier to apply. Should the granules be as effective as the liquid? How long until I start to see the results?

In 2019 and 2020 I used BioAdvanced Tree & Shrub to prevent ash bore beetle from invading my ash tree. It is effective for 12 months, but I am wondering if it is advisable to treat my tree every 6 months to increase protection for this ash tree, since ash bore beetle is rampant in my area now. I used this product in the fall of 2019 & 2020 and my ash tree looks very healthy now.

Very good for what intended

This worked well to rid the aphids on my oleanders. I used it on my artichoke that had terrible ants that I understand meant something else unwanted. Took care of that problem. New problem: My artichoke is not edible because I poisoned the soil.
QUESTION: How long, if ever, will my soil be suitable to use for edible plants? Thank you.

How much should I Use?

I have two large Hibiscus bushes. One is 7 feet tall and the other is 8 feet. The instructions say multiply the height in feet and multiply by 3 to determine how many ounces of product to mix with a gallon of water. This instruction is saying mix 21 ounces of product for one and 24 ounces for the other. This can't be right. What is the correct amount?

That would be the correct amount for the shrubs to mix with 1 gallon of water. Shrubs grow out as well as up so it is important to apply the proper amount to ensure there is enough product to circulate throughout the shrub to get the 1 year insect protection.

Saved scale infested Crotons

This product is absolutely amazing. The scale on my Croton plants was so bad (before I noticed it) that it had lost most of its leaves. One dose of this product and as if by magic, the scale was gone and the plants are thriving!
What I would like to ask is, are there any plants that it shouldn’t be used on? (Besides all edible plants). I have been fighting worms on my potted bougainvillea, hibiscus and Light bulb tree ((Clerodendrum Smithianum) and wondered if I can use it on those potted plants .Thank you for making such a wonderful, easy to use product!

I recently treated two ash trees, as I have been doing for several years. This year, after treating them, I realized that I had planned to plant a vegetable, herb and spice garden in part of the treated area. Will they be safe to eat?
I should add that BioAdvanced has saved my ash trees, when compared with my neighbor's ash trees.

This product saved our Magnolia tree

In 2015, our Magnolia tree was so infested with aphids that black pus dripping from its covered our sidewalks and driveway. We called a tree service to remove the tree but the arborist from that company recommended we try this project first and we did. Amazing results. We have treated it annually ever since and tree's magnificent blooms are a favorite in our neighborhood. I used the liquid form of the product but could only find the dry version this year (2020). No matter how much I "squeezed" to remove the top as instructed, I could NOT open it until I removed the stop tabs with a razor blade. I'm pretty strong but your packaging engineers must have gorilla strength to remove this top. That said, I won't reduce the product rating because I would have eaten the top off is necessary to get to the product inside that is what helps me tree.

For many years I dreaded spring and summer as my massive pecan trees were over run by aphids and the aphid poo (some call it tree sap) was everywhere and would turn things black. My trees are approximately 3 stories tall and I saw this product and have used it now for the last two years and it stops all the "sapping"! I have told several people how great it was and they used it too and they were beyond happy! I highly recommend!

You will want to wait until the ground is not frozen and you have seen new growth to your tree such as budding to make sure it is out of cold season dormancy and will be absorbing the product properly.

I've been spending $60-$100 per year on this product to protect my Ash trees from the Emerald Ash Borer. It didn't work as 2 tress died about 3 years ago and my 3rd tree is currently dying due to Emerald Ash Borer - which this product was supposed to protect against.

I understand how that can be a disappointing experience. When using Tree & Shrub Protect & Feed, it would take 3 months to fully grow through out the tree. Our One Healthy Tree

We have 5 trees in the front yard. Three are pygmy palms and two are Jatropha trees. Last year I sprayed one pygmy palm with this product. Today, four of the trees have some type of disease. The only healthy tree is the one that was sprayed with this product. I will be using this product on all trees and shrubs from now on.
