Definitely helps with odor, but also helps with cleaning litter box. Provides a barrier so that used litter doesn't stick to the box like cement.

I love this deodorizer and use all the different scents. For context I live in a smaller house, have three cats and 8 litter boxes. We use pellet litter, clean them twice a day and use this product once every couple days and have no issues with litter smells. One of the best compliments I get is that it doesn't smell like I have cats despite the 8 litter boxes.
