Q: Is this safe to use with dogs and cats in the yard?

1 Answer
  • A: When applied as directed, broadcast-applied bait products are unlikely to harm pets. This is due to the relative low toxicity of the insecticides used, the small percentage of active ingredient used in baits, and low application rates.

Best ant killer on the market.

This bait works beautifully on a wide variety of pests. I’ve used it to control the pests that bother me the most: fire ants, common black ants and cicada killer bees. I’ve tried the liquid, but it only kills the pests it actually touches. Other products have turned out to be a waste of money, time and energy. Amdro is the product I rely on. I’ve found it can be hard to find -whether high demand or low stock, I don’t know. But I’ve found I need to order this product early in the Spring, well in advance of anticipated need.

resolve the problem don’t move it to your neighbor

Andro is my go to ant bait that truly gets rid of the problem. This year was a bit tougher with the drought. They stayed hidden down below and I didn’t treat many times due to not seeing them. Once the rain came they popped up and I’m slowing getting them back under control. I hand treat about 30 acres, so it’s not as quick as doing the single mound in my yard that rarely has a mound show up.
